So cute!
The media could not be loaded. This little wooden vegetable set comes with 4 cuttable vegetables, one mushroom, a felt lettuce leaf, a wooden knife, a wooden storage crate, and a canvas drawstring bag.The paint job and the overall design of the wooden foods is beautiful. They are very tactile and lovely colours. The cut table vegetables are in two pieces that are held together with velcro discs. This velcro is very strong and as you can see from the video it is quite difficult to separate the pieces enough to get the knife in there to cut. I hope this is something that will loosen with time.I think this is a quality set and my son loves playing with it. His isn’t bothered about the lettuce leaf unfortunately, I think it would have been good to have it as part of a felt sandwich or salad.

Expensive, but nice
I do love wooden toy food. I love the sustainable element of not buying plastic., and i like the feel and weight of these wooden chopping vegetables. They're well made with velcro on each part of veg, they come in a lovely little 'crate' and include a chopping knife. My 2 year old just loves going 'chop!' with her wooden veg and it keeps her busy for about 20 minutes.I do think £16 at time of writing is a bit expensive for a small wooden toy- i'd maybe pay around £10 for it... but it will last a long time so if you think you can get a lot of play from it it's a good choice of playset.

Really quite a nice set but could be improved
I wanted to get my 2.5yr olds this wooden fruit set as they have had similar only they were plastic. So this set came nicely presented in a box that contained a wooden box with all the wooden fruit pieces wrapped up individually in paper, There is also a little pretend wooden knife to chop the fruit and a small drawstring bag to transport/keep them in.So I set these things up first before giving them to the kids and first impressions were I thought they were nice but could have had a little more detail such as seeds on the strawberries, lines on the bananas and seeds in the apples etc. Saying that though, the kids didn't hesitate in telling me what everything was apart from the kiwi which they thought was a potato lol. I must admit, I didn't recognise what it was till I split it open. The wooden knife they supply is quite thick, which I guess it needs to be, but this means it is quite hard for the kids to pretend to chop the fruit as it doesn't fit in the little gap of the fruit. To be honest, my kids didn't bother with this anyway, they just like taking the fruit apart and sticking it back together.I do think this is a nice little fruit set, but if I saw it displayed in a shop and the price tag was £17.49 (at time of review), I would probably pass. Saying that though, I do like to see toys made of wood as they do give them a much more quality feel so maybe I am being a bit harsh there. To sum it up. like my title says, a nice little set but could be improved.

Well made, fun to chop
This set arrived a lot smaller than I had expected. Everything is well made and seems good quality and durable. The felt leaves on some of the fruit are cute, and a little more detail on the fruits would have made this a much nicer set to play with. The knife is sturdy and my 2 year old has a lot of fun cutting the fruit in half and offering them to us. The velcro is strong enough to keep the fruit together well, but not too strong to stop a 2 year old from separating them. The fruit comes with a nice little wooden crate which is great to display them on the toy shelf. The set also comes with a small drawstring bag which will be useful when rotating this toy out, if my 2 year old ever stops playing with it! Overall, this set could be improved a little, but my 2 year old is very happy with it as it is, and plays with it everyday.

Velcro too strong, Knife too thick, Mushroom cant be cut.
My little boy loves chopping up wooden/plastic fruit so I was excited for him to try this. Unfortunately he just couldn't get along with this.I never thought I'd say it but the velcro on the fruit was way too strong. It takes more effort to pull/cut these apart then any other fruit toy we have used in the past, it meant my 2 year old really struggled to use this. The other problem is the knife is simply too thick, yes it's a lovely knife but its not functional with this item. Meaning my kid couldn't pull the fruit apart or even cut it apart.I know it says for 3 years and up, but that's just for their safety, a 2 year old should be able to cut up some play fruits. They look nice enough, but these really are not worth £10 or more, I feel these are grossly overpriced for the small selection you get. The mushroom doesn't even cut apart so I have no idea why that's included.I struggle to recommend this.

Nice set, our daughter loves it but the fruit lacks detail
There is a banana, strawberry, pear, lemon, apple and kiwi fruit included in the set. As well as a wooden knife, small crate and drawstring bag to store the fruit in. The fruit is made from painted wood and several of them also have felt leaves. Although the fruit has a very simplistic style and also lacks detail, my 23 month old daughter was able identify and tell me what each one was supposed to be.The fruits are all nicely carved, but the paint work is very basic, for example the outside of the strawberry has no seeds on it. The apple is the wrong colour, it looks yellow to me, and is the same colour on the inside as it is on the outside, however some of the other fruits are the correct colour on the inside. It's a bit all over the place in that regard. The lemon even had segments printed inside it.The fruit is held together via strong circles of velcro. The crate flips over to become a chopping board and the knife can be used to separate the two halves of the fruit. The knife is very blunt so there is no danger of getting hurt. This set has been a big hit with my daughter. However I feel there could have been more attention to detail and more consistency in the design of the fruit.
