RUMBRELLA Inverted Folding Umbrella for Rain, 50 Inch Anti-UV Protection Automatic Car Travel Umbrella with Safety Reflective Strip

My wife needs a large umbrella to protect from the sun but she doesn’t want the normal really big ones to have to carry around. This one has protection from the sun and the unique way it collapses and unfolds makes it still compact. But it’s still a nice size for protection. Awesome!

I had to try this out for myself as this seemed like a perfect umbrella for all those hot and sunny Summer day outings! Although, given our states recent hot climate, the lack of moisture/ rain and current drought circumstances, I wasn't quite sure if and when I would be able to utilize the true need of this product. Talk about a manifestation! I received this Rumbrella and the much needed moisture/ rain that our state so desperately needed, arrived in the nick of time and along with it.Happy to say that what you see and what you read, is truly what you get! Whoever thought and compiled the idea of Rumbrella, is a masterful genius! It's super high quality and functionally created. You can tell by seeing the product in person and reading the Rumbrella garment tag, this company is built on integrity and really cares about its products and their consumers. They have your upmost well being and satisfaction in mind. This umbrella is so easy to set up that even my 7 year old can use it with just a touch of the button for opening and closing. ( However, she did need some assistance with putting it back in the carrying when not in use, sleeve.) She's at that stage where she wants to be more independent and do things on her own so obliviously this was a WIN in her book .( She's even expressed that she wants one of her own for her up coming school year.)There's no need to fret about accidentally pinching your fingers on this umbrella as they have placement for your fingers to pull and slide the umbrella back to its handle. I especially value the Rumbrella's innovative technology with the fast drying and built in UPF 50+ fabric because we all know the suns still there even on a cloudy day.Here's to the zoo day adventures ahead and using the Rumbrella!

This Reverse/Inverted Folding Umbrella from Rumbrella arrived as shown on the listing here. The umbrella arrived packed within a simple cardboard box. The Sky Blue color looks as I expected based on the listing here. It’s a very different color and not something I see too often with umbrellas, it stands out! The reflective strip on the edge of the umbrella works well, also. The fabric feels thick and the under-side of the umbrella is the same color as the top of the umbrella. The umbrella has 10 ribs and features an automatic open and close button. Keep in mind that automatic close feature, so as to not accidentally push the button while using the umbrella in the rain. The fabric is thick, and the overall feel and fit of the materials and handle feels great. The umbrella may be reverse-folding, but it operates the same as a normal collapsible umbrella. The umbrella has a 50” canopy and a 46” diameter at the bottom of the umbrella.The only hiccup I had with the umbrella is when I first unpacked it, it was having difficulty extending all the way when opening. After some finessing I was able to get the umbrella to extend the rest of the way and I haven’t had a problem since then. Also included on the tag is a UV color change card, that changes color in sunlight, giving you an idea as to how strong the UV is that day. According to a tag on the umbrella, this umbrella is rated UPF 50+ for UV protection. The umbrella is made well, functions as I expect, the color is unique. Time will tell how long it holds up, but so far, so good!

**UPDATE 10/23/23I didn't realize that this company has a 3yr warranty. They reached out after I posted this review and sent me a new umbrella. Really great customer service, hopefully this one hold up better than the first!!!Bought this umbrella with high hopes after using the brand at a vacation rental. It felt stronger than most umbrellas and had a solid weight to it. I’ve usedIt 4 times in the last two months in unremarkable rain. I looked up today to find one of the spokes (?) was broken. Super bummed. Was hoping it would last.

The media could not be loaded. I walk my child to and from school, and it is hot in the sunshine. I bought this umbrella primarily to protect myself from the UV rays while walking in the sun. It has been raining every day since I got it, that’s why the card is not a darker purple in the picture. However, when I pulled the card underneath the umbrella to take a picture of it, you can see that it turned white.Pros:I like the color with the reflective strip on the edge.Very easy to open.Very easy to close and put away.It has a brake system on it, so that when you are closing it, it does not bounce back.It fits back into the storage bag.It has an attached UV tag, so that you can see what the level is that day for your area.I walked to the mailbox in the rain, and this umbrella was large enough to cover me and my packages on the way back to the house.When I set it on the couch, the couch stayed dry, because the outer top layer is folded up inside the umbrella.Cons:I can’t think of any.

The media could not be loaded. The worst part about using an umbrella is when you get inside and have to close it, especially in a car. All the water on the umbrella makes a mess wherever you set it. With the Rumbrella, that is no longer a problem. When you fold up the umbrella, all the water is trapped inside. Whenever you get to a safe place, just open the umbrella and let it dry out. I love this thing.Of all the travel size umbrellas I’ve had, and that’s a lot, this seems to be the sturdiest. The metal ribs are thicker and sturdier than the others. It opens and closes easily and quickly. Push the button and it opens. Push again and the canopy closes and all you have to do is push the pole down to lock it back in place.I tested the UV exposure card, which I thought was an interesting addition. The first picture was taken in the house, the second was outside. You can see the change in color. If it ever rains again in north Texas, I will do a more thorough test. But for now, I don’t see any problems with the Rumbrella.

Nice looking umbrella. The ease to which it opens is wonderful. Great purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller (shorter handle) umbrella.

First Umbrella doesn’t stay clasped Item failed within 4 weeks but no way to contact the seller outside of the return window. Seller responded to my review and sent me a new one which works so far.

The umbrella is good size for two people and it provides good visibility for incoming traffic

Whilst it seems quite good, it is uncomfortable to hold and control in the lightest of breezes due to it's ludicrous child-sized handle. Ridiculous for a 50" umbrella. See photo (I have small hands!).Seriously thinking about returning it
