Really Good Hob With A Few Niggles
What you get is the hob and an instruction booklet. Our hob arrived with slight blemishes on the surface, see attached photographs, but this did not affect the operation and was only cosmetic. The hob is very easy to operate and has several pre set settings you can use by touching the function button. One of the pre sets is labelled as Heav on the product page, this is actually Stir Fry on the product. The hob heats up very quickly and you can change the display from Watts to temperature by long touching the function button, both the Watts and the temperature can be increased or decreased by using the + or - buttons. You can also set a timer should you so wish. The hob once cooled is very easy to clean. We already have an induction hob but that is much heavier and you can only use suitable pans whereas with this being ceramic you are not limited and can use what you want. We will be using this in our campervan when we are hooked up as it will save on gas. There are a few niggles though, one is the lead comes out the right hand side of the hob which can make the hob a bit hard to position in relation to the plug socket, it would have been far better if it had come out of the rear which would give you more options. This is advertised as portable and yet no carry bag is included, we were lucky and it fitted into a padded bag we already had and it will be stored in the van in that. The display displays HOr and not HOT when cooling down.Overall this is a great product (Minus the niggles) and will be used a lot when we travel around.I hope you found this review helpful.

Brilliant Single Hob either portable or where space is restricted.
The media could not be loaded. What a great single hob thats portable, compact but big enought for a frying pan, space saving if you've limited room (bedsit) and useful in like the situation we need this, kitchen refurbishment so no cooker for around 3 weeks, so with an air fryer, cooking still goes. It's nicely designed with clear displays that are easy to read and understand, in bright red.So you turn it on and select function, scrolling across to what you want to do ie Boil, Melt Simmer, Roast etc that gives the basic setting to get you going. This can be adjusted with the + and - buttons to suit and of course to turn things down a notch if needed. Its simple and easy to follow. The element heats up rapidly as the video shows, then cools rapidely as you lower the heat or turn off. So its a bit like having an electric gas cooker, instant heat control. The surface obviously stays hot until it colls completely, there is a fan underneath hats helps keep the hob cool and cool it down as it over runs when switched off. As it's cooling its flashes HOT - HOT - HOT also as a warning. There's a lock button to, to stop little fingers accidently turning it on, plus a timer if needed for reheating at a certain time. Its very stable on the surface on 4 feet, 2 rubberised to help prevent slippng.Really good little cooker that will have so many uses.

Great Hob but has a couple of annoying flaws
Generally, I am very pleased with this Hob. Although it is compact, it is a good size and can easily fit a large pan, it is reasonably easy to use; It has modes that essentially allow you to select wattage or desired temperature. It also has a timer feature which is great for boiling down food, or slow cooking as you can set an amount of time you want it to cook for then it will turn itself off. This hob is ideal for situations when you need and extra hob or just want to use it for a very small kitchen such as a studio apartment. The only minor issues are that the Lock mode is slightly confusing as it says “Lock (3 sec)” but this means press quickly to Lock and hold for 3 seconds to unlock, and that the lead comes out the side which is very annoying, which makes it tricky to position. It would be better if it came out of the back; as this means that you need to position the hob such that the lead can tail off to the socket which then may not be convenient for the position of the buttons.Plus, when you turn it off it states HOR, rather than HOT (or some other heat indicator).I have given this hob 4 out of 5 stars as, although functionally it works fine, it is not without its flaws, the lead coming out of the side really lets an otherwise great hob down.Pros:- Good size.- Easy to use.- Heats up quickly.- Timer Function.- Good for small spaces.Cons- Lead comes out of the side.- Some instructions are confusing.

This plug in hob is very powerful and can be easily used in a caravan or for those that are living in accommodations where they do not have own kitchen (student accomadations, hostel, hotels etc)

Brilliant for bedsits, holidays and kitchen refurbishments !!!!
This is a super handy plug in, one ring, stove top - and its a genius bit of kit. Large enough to fit a nice large saucepan/frying pan on it but small enough to fit into a cupboard for when you don't need it. There is a fan/whirry noise when in operation but its easy to understand the clear instructions and it heats up really quickly. You can choose a preselected heating option or increase/decrease the temperature manually if you wish. There is also a timer option and a lock option to stop kiddies using it by mistake. When you turn it off (and its still plugged it) there is a reminder that its still hot with a flashing LED 'hot surface' reminder - but instead it says hoR instead of hoT but it still makes you aware not to touch it. The fan whirring noise is a little offputting but its not like its going to be going all day and night so that's fine.Well designed, good instructions, heats up quick. What's not to like.

A reliable, portable cooking solution
Upon unboxing the Cooksir Single Burner Electric Cooktop, my first impression was quite favorable. The packaging was sleek and sturdy, giving a sense of quality that continued as I revealed the cooktop itself. The compact and lightweight design immediately stood out, making it clear that this appliance was crafted with portability and ease of storage in mind. The touch control panel on the cooktop is responsive and intuitive, allowing for seamless operation. The digital display is bright and easy to read, which is a plus when you’re in the midst of cooking. I found the timer feature particularly useful, offering a range from one minute to four hours, which is perfect for various cooking needs. The safety lock and auto safety switch-off features add a layer of reassurance, especially for families with children.Performance-wise, the 1800W burner heats up rapidly, making meal preparation quicker and more energy-efficient. This cooktop proved versatile, accommodating a variety of cookware materials, from stainless steel to ceramic and glass. This is a significant advantage over induction cookers, which are limited to magnetic pots. During testing, the cooktop handled everything from simmering soups to frying vegetables with ease, meeting and even exceeding my expectations.Comparing this product to others in its category, the Cooksir cooktop holds its ground well. Its compact size and portability make it stand out, especially for those with limited kitchen space or for those who enjoy camping and need a reliable cooking solution. While other models might offer similar functionalities, the combination of its robust feature set, user-friendly design, and reliable performance makes it a strong contender. The primary positive aspects include its quick heating capability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with various cookware. The compact and portable design also makes it extremely practical for a variety of uses. On the downside, the single burner may limit cooking capacity for larger meals or households with higher cooking demands. Additionally, the touch controls, while generally responsive, can sometimes be a bit too sensitive, leading to unintended adjustments. In summary, the Cooksir Single Burner Electric Cooktop is an excellent choice for anyone needing a reliable, portable cooking solution. Whether you're a small family with limited kitchen space, a camper, or someone who frequently hosts parties and needs an extra burner, this cooktop is versatile and efficient. Its value for money is solid, given the features and performance it offers. I would definitely recommend this product to others looking for a high-quality, portable cooktop.

Fabulous
After a bad experience with a similar product, I am pleased to say this electric cooktop works perfectly every time! While it can be built in, the cooktop comes with a plug and can be used instantly without needing additional wiring or a professional. There is a 1400W and 600W burners and can handle both at once, 2000W and only 120V. The burners heat up fast compared to other electric cooktops I’ve had. The controls are super simple with 9 levels of heat, simply turn up or down from low to high. Sleek looking and easy to clean. Space saving and easy to store. I can’t say enough good things about this cooktop and would recommend it to anyone.

Very Handy When the Built-in Cooktop is Full
This is a vine review meaning the product was provided to be reviewed. This product is a single burner 1,800 W infrared ceramic cooktop with touch controls and digital wattage readout. An instruction pamphlet is included. The product is packaged in a brown cardboard box suitable for gifting if wrapped. See attached photo of product with a pop can as a size reference. The top of this cooktop is ceramic and is mounted on a plastic housing with rubber tipped feet to prevent sliding. The plastic housing is well vented with numerous ventilation slats and a built-in fan.To operate the cooktop, simply plug it in and hold the on/off button until it starts. Temperature is adjusted by pressing on the function button which cycles through eight heat levels. Cooktop temperature can also be adjusted using the plus and minus buttons next to the digital watt/temperature display. See attached photograph of product while powered on.I tested the product by making a pot of jasmine rice. Rice can be difficult to cook in a pot and having the right low level of heat is important. I figured this would be a good test, because any burner can boil water but it is the low heat ability of a cooktop that sets it apart. This product cooked the rice as well as my expensive KitchenAid built-in cooktop, easily passing my test. This single burner ceramic cooktop is handy when my built-in cooktop is being used for other other things, like when I place an indoor smoker on the built-in cooktop in order to take advantage of the ventilated hood above. It is also handy during holidays when an extra burner is needed.A note on cleaning: Once when using this product, food being cooked in salted water boiled over leaving a nasty brown stain on the product. Before the product had cooled off completely, I used the razor scraping tool that I use on my glass cooktop and scraped off the burnt-on brown material. Then, using Weiman glass cooktop cleaner and polish, I scrubbed the top of the burner using my Weiman abrasive sponge. I am pleased to report the product cleaned up like new! This product uses a single 120 V ungrounded cord. The cord is attached mid-center on the product’s right side. This does not make for a very clean presentation on a kitchen counter. As a future product improvement, I recommend the power cord be attached at the rear of the product rather than the side.In summary, this product performed well with low heat and also had no problem providing high heat. It cleaned up well like a glass cooktop.

Convenient and adequate
I have a butane gas portable burner I use when I cook a hot pot dinner. I have been considering replacing it with an electric portable cook top. This one looked very nice -- and it is but only for certain purposes, I think. The surface is large which is nice to accommodate larger pots and pans. Touch control panel is also clean looking and the response is quick and sensitive. The unit is stable which is important for safety. However, it doesn't heat up super quickly. If you need to cook something that requires boiling or searing, you'll be waiting a while until it heats up to the appropriate temperature. I think I will use it for more gentle cooking recipes. I also think it'd be perfect for keeping something warm at a potluck or something. So, for me, for these purposes, it's a good cooktop.

Expand your cooking options!
This review is for the One Burner Electric Cooktop, Portable One Burner Electric Stove, 1800W Small Infrared Electric Burner with Safety Lock, Timer, Overheat Protection, Touch Control, 110V-120V Plug in.So I grabbed this for a couple of reasons. First I wanted it to set up outside on a covered patio to use when it's hot out so I don't heat the house up to cook which makes the AC run harder, I'll eventually be enclosing the covered patio in. Second, I'm interested in setting up a small solar array of panels to see if it gives me another option to use let's say if the power is out... I also have a single electric raised coil type burner and interested to find out which I like/works better for the solar....So this is a great sealed surface single burner that can be used with any cookware. I love it. It's small, lightweight & easy to move/store. Heats up fast, the burner is clearly marked so you know where to place the pot/pan. It's easy to use withclearly marked sealed push button digitals and easy to wipe clean for spills with the sealed surface. This would also be great to use in an RV or camping provided you can pwer it. This is also a great option for canning as I can have it outside again on the covered patio.Don't see any downside to this. It's currently not available and I do not recall the price. I'll update later with my thoughts on the value if the price gets posted. As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.
