Delicious source of great recipes.
This is a wonderful book. I am from Greek heritage and I had grandmothers who cooked this food for me in my childhood. The first recipe I made I felt like my grandmother had cooked for me all day. Yummy and the photos are beautiful.

Just tried four recipes so far and three were amazing, the forth near amazing
Just tried four recipes so far and three were amazing, the forth near amazing. It's going to be interesting to see if this holds up as I move forward through the book. The writing is a little quirky, so go over each recipe to make sure you are clear on how to proceed. The near amazing recipe was for chicken and figs. The recipe calls for enough figs for four or five times the chicken and required more than double the wine called for to cook them in. The other three recipes were spot on. If you like Greek cooking, give this one a try.

Many excellent recipes and information about Greek food
I ADORE this cookbook! I bought two more as gifts. Many excellent recipes and information about Greek food. Beautiful photos, which is a plus. I buy the cookbook for the content but pretty photos don't hurt one bit.

A bit complex
It’s a beautiful cook book. Pictures are fantastic. However it is lacking a few essential basic recipes like Galaktoboureko and Koulourakia (desserts) that every Greek kitchen knows how to make. Also no pastitio recipe.

Good, not great
The book has the look and feel of something you would find with a luminous pink sticker advertising it for £1.99 on the bottom shelf of a card shop; it's not great. However, there are plenty recipes and instructions are clear. There's probably better Greek cookbooks out there than this.

A well presented book
I liked the fact that there are coloured photo pages - I always think when you can see the food in colour it makes it more appealing to look further. I also like the bits of history behind the recipes - it gives added interest. Well presented in sections. My one wish is that print was a bit larger - but that is down to my own eyesight and should not be a problem for younger eyes.

Not Authentic Greek recipes but still a nice cookery book
It’s a very colourful book, I wanted authentic Greek recipes , this is not the real deal. I’ve been travelling in Greece for 35 years. After a look at my favourite recipes the things I noticed... Romaine lettuce in a Greek salad.. NO. Beef mince in Moussaka SERIOUSLY? Houmous with no tahini , it’s a nice cookery book but I don’t feel it’s authentic/traditional.

Yum
After my Greek holiday, I wasn't quite willing to give up the feeling, so I opted to continue with the Greek food. I have enjoyed all the recipes and can transport myself back to Hydra or some of the excellent café's and restaurants in Athens.
