Old school
You can't beat it. It works. Easy to transport. Light as a feather but durable. I'm into security work. I always have this at the ready for those occasional downpours we may have here down south. The hoodie on this has an extension for if you have a ball cap on keeping everything nice and dry including the bill of the cap. Nice touch. That was creative thinking on there part. Every time I use this everybody at work ask where'd you get that. I say Amazon of course.

Just what I needed.
I used this a few times and it keeps me from getting soaked. That was the purpose. It is well made and comes in a nice bag to match. Can be laid out flat for a blanket on the ground if you wanted to have a picnic. Nice feature, but mine won’t be going on the ground.

Fit on 6'-4" tall with midsize day pack on my back
Fabric is light weight so good for travel where casual use is planned. Not for bushwacking, trail or running as fabric could easily tear. I will travel with some clear tape if we have a tear. There are 3 plastic snaps along each side to close the sides and be gentle unsnapping. The hood fits well on a baseball cap and completely covers the cap bill. There are pull strings to adjust the hood. Hood has snap on the bill to fold back if you dont have a cap on. The 1/4 front zipper is well worth the extra dollar . It allows easier assess to your front under the poncho. Did a water test and held water 30 min. It is just what we needed for siteseeing travel. Light weight and will cover us with packs on if we get in a gusher.

Nice quality for price
Well made and seems to be big enough to keep the water away from your body.

Worked well
This is a great poncho. It worked well at Disneyland when it poured rain. The front pocket was handy too.

Perfect for a rainy day at Disneyland!
We spent three very rainy windy days at Disneyland, and we would have been miserable without these ponchos. They were perfect! The only part of us that got wet was our feet. As you can see in the photo, these ponchos (we are the orange and pink) are longer than that yellow one of a different brand. These ponchos are also much stronger and longer than the ones they sell in Disneyland. The material is nylon and it kept us nice and dry and was wonderful at blocking out the wind. Even when the rain was coming down at a slant due to wind, the longer length of this poncho really protected us. I even wore a backpack and the poncho was plenty big to entirely cover me with the backpack. Ours also have a bill on the drawstring hood which really helped keep the rain off of my eyeglasses. When it was time to take the poncho off to go on an indoor ride, my daughter and I simply slid our ponchos over our heads, quickly rolled them up and put them in a Walmart bag which was very easy to manage while on the ride. We did the same anytime we needed to use restrooms or went in a restaurant. Wearing the ponchos was so much easier, effective, and efficient than messing with an umbrella. If you are going to an amusement park or sporting even and you are expecting rain, I highly recommend these ponchos!

Ok, but does not meet the backpacking "toughness" test
So, I generally like the poncho. It is light, waterproof and folds up easily into the stuff bag. I wore it on the Green Monster during a rainy game in Boston and it did its "poncho" job well. I stayed dry the entire game. For the price, I think it is a good value from that standpoint. However, there are three issues that cause this to NOT be my go-to poncho for backpacking:1. The poncho is advertised as being able to be used as a tarp, but it only has grommets on the four corners. This makes it difficult to use this poncho when backpacking for an emergency shelter. It needs to have grommets also between each corner, so it can be stretched out properly.2. The material is not very durable. I set up a temporary tarp shelter with the poncho. I did not pull it exceedingly tight, but I still got a tear near one of the grommets. Now, it is only about 1" long at this point, but the fact that it tore so easily concerns me. I do not anticipate this poncho having a particularly long life.3. The size is fine, I suppose. But it would be nice if the manufacturer could make the poncho 90" x 60". This may not seem like a big increase, but the extra few inches in each direction would make this much more serviceable.

Shabby
Not waterproof at all. I tested it in a medium rain for one hour. It slightly repels but is not waterproof
