Holds charge well and seem to get better use per charge than with the canonI have other cheaper third-party batteries that have performed badly and stopped holding charge after a year of use - this seems to be at least up to the quality standrds of the original makers product

Very good value. Makes no sense to pay approx £30- £40 more for a branded product. Sony does not do its image any good at all by apparently over- charging for assessory items. They should make their margin on the camera and provide assessories at sensible prices to develop a strong loyal customer base. The internet is so transparent that they cannot afford to carry products at these price levels, particularly when the item is so bog standard. It suggests that they are trying to compensate for reduced margins on cameras, in a very competitive market place.

I use this in a camcorder and have noticed an incredible deterioration. The battery was never as good as the original (to be somewhat expected) but It says it will last nearly 3 hours but only lasts 1hour of filming. I've given it two stars as It is compatible and does work.Very disappointed. I'd advise people to just bit the bullet and buy a battery from Sony.

Original Sony battery had died so decided to risk on this which was on offer for around 15 than the Sony version that was looking at around 50-60. The camera tells me it gives around 1.5 hours usage which isn't great - haven't yet maxed it out yet but the main thing for me is being able to use it, so does the job.

Excellent battery, it has good battery life and charges well. Excellant value for money.
