This is an adorable costume for a little hockey fan (or child of a super-fan, living vicariously through his child). It is more sports paraphernalia/memorabilia than sportswear, if that makes sense. The mask is not actually protective, and the materials the uniform is made of are not going to hold up to much abuse. Great for casual or fun wear, though!

This set is very colorful. I have the Blackhawks design, which has a lot of color, but some will be more colorful than others simply due to their logo.The shirt is a “one-size-fits-all” sort of thing and is supposed to be for ages 5 – 9-years-old. It actually shows “Medium” on the shirt itself. The shirt measures 21” from the stop of the shoulder to the bottom. It measures 16” across, not including the sleeves.This is a 100% polyester shirt. It’s quite an “open” weave, so it’s very “airy”. It’s Made in the Dominican Republic. The logo on the front is of a “rubbery” material. You’ll wants to be careful when washing. I would HIGHLY recommend hand-washing and hanging to dry. If you wash it in a washing machine.. . . and especially if you place it in a dryer. . .it’s very likely that it will melt / crack.The mask is made plastic. The back (opening) measures 7.75” X 11”. The mask is Made in China. There are elastic Velcro bands in the back.At the current price of thirty bucks, I think it’s quite expensive for what it is. . but. . .I like it.

So fun for dress up!! This would also work as a Halloween costume. My son absolutely loves dressing up in this for playtime. He is seven and can easily get a few more years of wear out of it. Very durable, and not at all flimsy.

Material is pretty cheap. The Velcro strap from the helmet stuck to the jersey, & when it I pulled it off some of the fabric from the jersey stuck to it and came with it. Now it has a big snag in it. I definitely would not purchase again.

My nephew adores this, and I am confident that as a result of using this playlet, he will replace Jonathan Toews as the Blackhawks team captain someday, LOL. Truly, it's a fun playlet. It seems to be of relatively underwhelming quality, though, so we will need to see how it stands up to long-term use.

I got this for my 5 year old grandson, who is a little bit above average height and size. The material is cheap and to be fair, the description says it is "Perfect for game time, Halloween, Mini Hockey, or just hanging around!" and "Not intended for Street/Roller/Ice Hockey play". In other words, it is good for Halloween, or watching hockey with dad in the house, or just wearing the jersey out. The mask only covers the front, and is clearly not intended to take any serious blows.Bottom line, for the expensive price, find something that is a real cotton jersey and a real mask.

This is cute as a novelty item or for decor. It’s not something actually useable for hockey. If your child plans on wearing the jersey and is 8 or 9, be careful about this sizing. It says one size fits all, but seriously. How many 5 year olds are even close in size to 9 year olds? I’d compare the size to a child’s 8. Maybe a LITTLE bigger. If your child is a larger size the jersey won’t fit them. The helmet is cute, but definitely not for real play or protection. It’s more for decor. If you’re looking for something to add to the decor of a Blackhawks fan’s bedroom this is a great idea. If you want something to actually play hockey in, not so much.
