Comes with everything you need!
I wanted to save money on getting my nails done and purchased this kit. This kit comes with everything that you need to get started. Doing dip powder is pretty difficult to do on yourself. It definitely takes some getting used to. My first attempt took a few hours. After 2 or 3 times I got better at it, but will definitely need to keep practicing! I have been doing 2 layers of the base dip, followed by 3 layers of the color, and the top coat. They come out looking pretty decent. The nail file that comes with the kit is not the greatest, it started falling apart after one use. I like the tray it comes with, it makes it easy to pour the powder over your nail instead of dipping into the tiny pot.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING! MISLEADING AD!
The ad is the most misleading ad I have ever seen.It won't look as pretty as the pictures; it won't look like a professional salon nail. You won't take it off the powder a beautiful nail like that. That's not how it works.Following the instructions, you end up with a messy nail, with parts higher than others because of the amount of polish. Also, the brush is terrible, which helps with the "mess".Do you have thin nails that break and are interested in the "STRONGER NAILS" advertised here? Well, you're applying cement on your nails, and that's why it's strong and hard. It's the worst thing you can do for your nails. And well, want to try and see how it goes with you, no problem! Go ahead; I also like to try things to have my own opinion. However, be prepared for the saga that will be to remove it.To spare you the trips to pharmacies and Target: go to Target, get the SUPER ULTRA NAILS POLISH REMOVER FOR PROFESSIONALS, that can remove everything. Then, put some in a bow and leave your nails inside for some time. It will start to loosen it. Grab a cotton pad/ball and start removing it (as a normal polish). You'll have to do this step many times for each nail, but they eventually come out! :)Be prepared to spend 20-30 minutes on this process.

Easy Peasy
First, I am upset the step 2 Activator was more than half spilled because the lid was loose. You can see a yellow spot in my picture where it was leaking out into the tray. Thankfully, I had enough to try it.My first time use on my nails is pictured, but I used another color (pink lemonade/regular size jar pictured) in which, I had ordered instead of the “Date Night” red (small trial size) that came in the package/kit.I found it extremely easy to do. I dipped the color over my “glued-on nails” that I got on Amazon which were LED light cured (see last photo for brand I used) before using Nailboo. With Nailboo, I made some mistakes, such as, how I under estimated the wait time before filing after using the activator to harden the product. Also, I think I over-dipped the product a bit on the base step. I have a few nails that are pretty thick.I’m not upset about this part because I am a first time user. I’ll learn as I go.I can’t wait to remove and try again soon.If you are talented and know what you are doing, I think you would like the product in its regular sizes. This kit is small and probably half the size of what you may get in ordering normal/regular orders. If you are a first time user, then this small kit is the best way to see if you prefer to spend the time to do-it-yourself.Only Con- I wish they had a list of tips before using it or even a step-by-step brochure/video as you use the product. (I should have relied on YouTube videos now that I have discovered some good ideas.)Pros-Easy & saved $$$ and time! I can get better with experience and remove/change when I want without an appointment.

More trouble than it's worth
I was so sure this was going to be a Monday to do an at home manicure that would last and not wreck my nails. Mostly, it was a disappointing experience. I am partially satisfied but here are some issues: 1) the base and top coat gels arrived almost totally dried out. I ordered more bottles and they were ok at first, but by the time I was finished they were thick and globby.2) They take much longer to dry than the instructions state. This is likely because you end up using too much gel, since it dries and thickens so quickly.3) It takes a lot of practice to do it so your nails look like the pictures.4) The nail powder gets everywhere and the process is rather messy. The cost is reasonable and it seems like a great idea, but for some, going to a salon is going to be a better option, when you balance cost and a professionally done manicure, with a home job that's messy, time consuming and difficult to do well.

Practice makes perfect
I love this!! The set I bought came with a white, gray, and a wine (too dark for me now in the summer so I’m buying some individual colors on Amazon as time goes on). Takes a little practice to get the timing right. I’d say 5 minutes between every coat is safe. The top coat is very sticky and you only need a very thin layer. I bought an electric nail file on Amazon for $10 and it’s a game changer for filing the base coats down and for removal. I cleaned my kitchen without gloves yesterday and no change to my nails after day 3. I learned to not get too close to the cuticle…put the base liquid just a bit further from the skin. Practice makes perfect! It takes me about an hour for both hands after doing my 2nd set. One coat of color dip was slightly lighter than two coats but I could see through to my nail slightly with one coat. I recommend two coats of color dip.
