PROS:o Cooled down quicklyo Like the latching mechanism on the lidCONS:o Hysteresis of temperature appears to be quite large but not a show stopperNEUTRALS:o Rather heavy, which I expected with a compressor-based cooling systemSo I was VERY unsure what to expect, however the reviews seemed quite good, so I took the plunge, as there is not a good way to transport frozen goods (especially ice cream) unless one resorts to finding a source of dry ice, which is a pain. I put a digital thermometer probe into the cooler, plugged in the AC adapter, turned it on, set the temperature control to 0 degrees, and kept track of the progress. Starting from an ambient temperature of 74 degrees, after 15 minutes, the temperature had dropped to 37 degrees according to the display on the cooler, and 11 degrees on the digital thermometer. Shortly before 30 minutes, the compressor shut off and it had reached -1 degrees on the display, and -9 according to the thermometer (can't vouch for the exact accuracy of the thermometer). About 10 minutes later, the temperature on the display had climbed to 6 degrees and the compressor cycled on. The temperature continued to climb to 11 degrees before it started back down, eventually reaching 0 degrees and shutting off the compressor again. I let it run for a couple of hours, and it seemed to oscillate between about 10 degrees and 0 degrees, a rather large swing but not outrageous. I am very encouraged that it will make the transportation of frozen products a real possibility. Will soon see if the performance is as good in the vehicle environment as it is on the AC adapter in the house. I may well fashion an "insulating blanket" type of cover to slip over the top 3/4 of it to aid in the retention of the cold (obviously avoiding covering the lower 1/4 so it doesn't block air flow to the compressor and motor). Will update this review if there are any performance or durability issues.

This is a wonderful product. Purchased for a long distance trip, it worked so well, it remains in our vehicle at all times. Keeps items cold, takes up a small space and is easy to use.It’s great for all perishables purchased at the grocery store and works for leftovers from a restaurant, as well. My husband loves this car cooler!!

Very heavy. Freezes items, can adjust temp. Very quiet. Very long car charger cord. Has never failed me, I use it every day in my RV, as I have a small Refrigerator, like for a bedroom which pulls too much voltage. I use this on Eco mode, and I think it only pulls around 40 to 50 watts. I definitely would recommend.

We have a small Motorhome which means we have a small refrigerator, just big enough for food containers. I needed some extra space to keep our drinks iced cold and was tired of having to remember to buy ice for the cooler. This has solved the problem for sure. I can plug it into the Ryobi battery inverter and keep it running perfectly while we are traveling from one place to another. After we’re at our destination, I then plug it into a regular 110v outlet. The size is also perfect since it doesn’t take up too much floor space. It’s perfect for what I was needing it for.

This cigarette lighter powered refrigerator exceeded my expectations by far, it keeps the food consistently cool even in the hottest of temperatures, I am a commercial truck driver on the road daily, and I have use this refrigerator throughout the hottest of summer days with the food staying chill better than my refrigerator at home, I have never had a single issue with this refrigerator malfunctioning in anyway whatsoever, I would highly recommend this refrigerator to anyone that is simply out camping because it saves on the cost of ice and your food doesn't get soaking wet, I have left this refrigerator running in my car for over 24 hours without the engine running and it did not drain the battery.

Couldn't set temperature to start cooling. Compressor never started. Emailed support address provided. No response. No phone provided. Amazon could not provided support since it is a 3rd party sale. Now I have to find somewhere to print out a label and haul this heavy a$$ p.o.s. to the UPS store.

Small and compact enough to not take up much space. Sits comfortably within reach. Easy opening and good space for the few things I need to keep in it. Quick temperature change from initial start to cooling down my drinks that I've left in over night. Keeps items frozen during trips from store-as well as food we made for picnics. Great product as its backed up with a very good product insurance. Looking into buying a larger one now. Also like the fact that at night you're able to bring it inside and use the electric plug to continue keeping your items cold-froze whichever you choose.

Loved the shape - tall with small footprint because it fit well in our SUV; however, it only lasted 18 months.
