I got this for my loach tank. I needed something with limited suction since it's on sand. Takes a long time to drain but that's to be expected.

It’s not the fastest but it doesn’t scare or suck up the fish either. The bulb makes controlling it a breeze. No more soaked floors no more shaking the tube to get it going or having to work against physics to get the thing going. Just squeeze and it starts. Easy peasy!

I assembled it after it arrived, checked the lines, changed the direction on the pump to make sure it was correct, and it still doesn't work. I have used a multitude of similar siphons and this is just junk. Complete waste of money.

I have several aquariums and typically would use a hose I attach to the sink to clean them out. For my 5 gallon tank though, I don’t really need that whole set up to clean the tank. I was hoping this siphon pump would work well to clean it out. Unfortunately, it isn’t really sucking any of the waste up. It is only removing water. This is ok too for when I just need to change water, but it is really not doing what I hoped it would do in cleaning the waste out of the gravel.

The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because it's described as a "water changer" and not a gravel vac. I was psyched to have a nice small vac for my betta tanks that siphoned more slowly than the larger vacs, but unfortunately it siphons so slowly that it doesn't really pick up debris (poop). If you're just removing water and trying not to suck anything up it's fine, but not for a good vac cleaning.
