I was very eager to try these traps as my intention was to catch crabs and/or small baitfish.I loaded the bait containers and hooked them on the trap and left them for 2 days. I didn't pull them up, but instead I dove down to where I dropped them to see how the fish were reacting to the traps. There were some baitfish inside, but far less than expected. I noticed the baits were still full and the fish were all AROUND the trap. I began to wonder if they couldn't find their way inside? I don't know.The green string it comes with was such a pain to unravel. It took me about 15-20 minutes because it got so tangled. I almost threw it away, but I ended up putting it down and came back to it and get it sorted. I didn't even bother with the second string...I ended up using half of the first.I might be wrong, but these traps also look 100% hand made. That's not a bad thing, but you can expect to find inconsistencies when comparing one to the other. They do seem well made, and while the concept itself makes sense, the fish just don't go inside.I probably wouldn't buy again, but maybe someone else can have better luck with them.

i like them becouse they fold up and dont take up much space in my boat. worked well for me. the bait bags and containers should have been bigger and better built. i like them so far.

Threw these in the stream that has a good flow and current and weighted it down with a medium rock. I got a few crawfish and a small fish! Heads up, call your local Fish and Game to see how many traps you can use while you fish with a rod! I can do up to 5 traps and fish at the same time where I live! Vey easy to set up and fold up! Kind of like a pop up tent. I recommend this item.

These lightweight set of fishing bait traps are so easy to use, they are manageable and easy to handle. These wouldake excellent crab and shrimp traps as well. This set has everything you need to make your fishing experience better!!!! It's very well made but lightweight at the same time. The baskets themselves are fine, they're constructed well. The quality of them is great, but for whatever reason, anything that ends up in these dies.
