It's a good door handle. Looks great and works well. However, the screws do tend to come lose with usage and you have to re-tighten them which can be annoying. To fix this, you have to buy Loctite Blue 242 Threadlocker from the hardware store to prevent the screws from loosening with time. BTW this issue never happens with older Schlage door hardware. So yep, they don't make them like they used to. Sigh.

My bathroom knob just broke after many years. I saw that it was a Schlage, and did some Amazon research. I found this model, which seemed almost identical to the old one, so I ordered it. It arrived in 2 days as promised, and I had my building handyman install it for me. It took him about 10 minutes, and it looks great and works perfectly. Recommended if this is the style that you need.

Door knobs with this misty-brown oil brushed finish stand-out against a lighter door color, and visually meld into any door of a darker color. Years of use will enhance the misty-brown. The darker antique finish is much more stark against lighter colors, and creates a "shadow" effect on doors of a darker color. Over twenty years ago I chose Schlage locks with this finish for my professional office, and they are as beautiful now as the day they were installed. I chose this finish to replace all the deadbolts, keyed entry, privacy and passage door knobs in my new home. And I love the look they have given to both exterior and interior doors. Plus, these Schlage's fit into and join with the door snugly because of the two sides of the lock joined channel to slide. There's no looseness when the knob or latch handle is touched, and the locking/unlocking feels and sounds "right."

The Schlage Orbit series knobs are getting to be a bit dated, but I continue to enjoy the large size and polished brass look of this model. I could no longer find the Orbit series in my local hardware and home improvement stores. I was delighted to find them available right here on Amazon.com. At over $25, I was a little dissapointed in the price. After all, these are just passage knobs, which contain no locking mechanism at all. However, they are made of high quality materials and they are built to last for years and years. I have the Orbit knobs on every door in my house, including the entry lockset and bedroom/bath locking knobs, and many of them have been in place and working fine for roughly 10 years or more. Although the new styles seem to include thinner knobs and paddle style handles, I prefer the fat, perfectly round look and feel of the Orbit series. I highly recommend the Schlage Orbit series passage knob. It looks as if their availability is limited so hurry and get them while you can!

Exact replacement for builder grade interior door knob. No complaints. Went on easy. Opens, latches, locks, and unlocks properly. Looks just like my others. I don't imagine I should have to replace many of these in my household, but if I do, this is the one I'll reorder. Same model and same price at the hardware store, but I didn't have to mask up and wait in line and it arrived in a day. I call that a win.

Never having changed a door knob before, I did some research on YouTube and it turns out these knobs are very easy to install once you see how they work. The Schlage Knob I received was certainly better made than the knob being replaced. I’ve had the new knob for a couple months now and I’m very happy with my purchase. The knob feels solid and turns smoothly with no wobble. Has a nice push button lock too.

Great door knobs. You can change the faceplate to a circular one. Stores didn’t have this option.

I ordered a few of these knobs and all but 1 work great. The one that doesn't work properly is basically not fully extending and catching the little slit in the door frame when you twist the knob one way. Annoying but it works if I twist the knob the opposite way...

I had previously bought cheaper knobs that kept on getting stuck in the locked position. I'm so happy I finally got rid of the cheap stuff to replace it with those. The Schlage knob is perfect, works well and feels like quality.
