I use 2 of these packets when I want to make rabokki, and I just put them both in boiling water and add plain noodles. It tastes just like back home.

I am hoping for find a original bulgogi flavor but it is not. I can't taste a soy based traditional sauce.

I buy my frozen rice cakes from the local Asian market. I cooked them with the Gajaheaven seasoning mix and it was delicious. I would definitely use it again.

It's so easy to make, anyone can do it.We got the "hot" and were anxious to taste it as soon as we added the powder to the water. It smelled like it could pack a big punch, but it wasn't quite as hot as we expected. This is not a problem, though. We have plenty of ingredients on hand that can kick up the spice a few notches.We also tried this sauce on Vermicelli Rice Noodles and it was great. So if you don't have Tteokbokki rice cakes on hand, you may want to try it on other rice noodles or even regular pasta!

We used this seasoning for our first ever experience at making and trying tteokbokki. Being this was our first time ever trying tteobokki, I'm unsure of what a traditional or typical sauce tastes like, but we really enjoyed the flavor of this. It was sweet and enjoyably spicy. It just had a really good balance and even my 3 year old was gobbling this up (and then chasing it with water lol). I think this was pretty good!

As a cajun, I love spicy food. I never heard of Tteokbokki so while on vacation, I was treated to it and ended up liking it. Back home now in south Louisiana and waned to give it another go. So I came across this seasoning mix that includes five sachets or packets. This was sweet and spicy, but wanted more. It has a wonderful flavor, I just needed to doctor it up with some cayenne pepper. Had to let it boil longer for it to thicken up. After a few minutes of boiling, I dropped the rice cakes into it and boiled more. 2nd time we had it, I added a little corn starch to it to thicken up and of course more pepper. We did find it sweet enough, just needed a little more heat, but that maybe because being a cajun.Packaging & Delivery:] The packaging is as expected and arrived without incident. Usually making tteokbokki from scratch is a little time consuming and ususaly end up going to the market to buy some, but when i saw these seasoning mix packs, i jumped on it. these come in a pack of 5 in rugular and spicy. the mix was nice and easy to make and end the ended i just needed to add water, fish cakes, and the rice cakes. the end result was a decent tteokbokki that was a little too spicy for me. It seems to be more like a homemade version and not a restaurant quality version, but I wouldn't mind making this instead of driving out a distance. Overall not bad and it does save you time compared to making it from scratch.
