PLEASE buy one of these!
With my last Labrador I always used a prong collar and never had a problem and thought these stories of then coming undone were weird. Then 2 weeks ago in the vet's office I saw it happen to another customer and her dog ran to the other end of the room. The just today my new 8 mo old Lab rolled in the living room while I was training with the prong and whammo, it came undone and she ran around the room like a wild child. Oh my, what if this happened out doors? So I am so gald I bought this and have been using it when we go for hikes in our city park. I am now a believer.This product is sturdy and well finished despite what others have said. Looks like a typical chrome plated chain. The clasps are good and the length just right. I thought it would jingle too much but not so. I chose chain instead of a fabric variety because I walk a lot in the rain and mud and mildew is always a problem. This just washes up. Very easy to use. So now I always walk outside with the prong collar, a flat, collar and the safety connector. Cheap easy insurance from getting hit by a car or in a dog fight. I think I was very lucky with my last dog.

Not chewable
But a lil heavy , tends to drag down prong collar. Very easy to use, and definitely secure.

Works with gentle leader
One of our three dogs for some reason can pop out of her gentle leader despite us adjusting it several times. Now we have this extra chain that we call the seat belt to keep her safe. It works great great

Simple yet necessary.
This is one of those well made items that you hope you never need but if you have ever experienced a collar/ harness slip, it quickly becomes the best money spent. It looks great with any lead/collar/harness combo. I got the smaller size for my two Mini Golden Doodles and it’s great.

A bit heavy.
The length is about right but found it to be a bit heavy/clunky. Used it to attach to a Spranger collar as it tended to become disconnected from time to time.

Safety clasp
I bought this as a safety clasp to attach leash to flat collar as a back up when using a training collar and in case the leash clasp failed. My dog got loose when someone else who was walking her accidentally unleashed her while she was being reactive towards another dog. Nothing bad happened.My pup has a high prey drive and it’s extra security just in case.It’s stainless steel which is good for our beach walks. Seems like a good product

Great purchase
Got the 9 inch safety chain. I love it. It is sturdy. Makes me feel a lot better should my dog's collar break.
