MerrellWomen's Chameleon 7 Limit Hiking Boot

I have looked high and low for trail runners or walkers (I hike, don't run) that are comfy and offer support. I tried Altra, New Balance, Topo, Hoka One One, nothing fit the bill. I know fabric uppers are the latest and greatest, but I tend to poke a hole in the top of my shoes if they're not reinforced so those are out. I also noticed that a number of shoes had a sort of neoprene seamless sock inside which sounds great in theory, but makes my feet so hot.I was hiking and asked the man walking beside me how he liked his Merrells. "These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned," he said. He was on his second pair. I saw these on sale on Amazon and while I believe my Topos are my most comfy shoes, they are slippery when wet which won't do on trails.I sometimes put my orthotics in (if I remember) or they're fine without. For hiking shoes, they're a 5.

Years ago I had 2 pairs of Chameleon 2s and wore them both out (it took years. They lasted a really really long time). I tried periodically to replace them but couldn't find them anywhere. Now I found the Chameleon 7 which is reasonably similar and I love them. The main difference is that these have laces and need to be tied but I can live with that. I'm very happy with them. Not quite as good as the Chameleon 2s but a reasonable replacement.

These are excellent shoes, they have a lot of support in arches, wide toe box, sturdy, and good looking. I plan on buying another pair, but it needs to be mentioned that these are men's shoes. So, women interested in them need to buy 1 and 1/2 size smaller. So if you'r an 8.5 in women's, do buy a size 7 in men's. You won't regret it!

Very comfortable, true to size (wear 7 & ordered in size 7) and very nice color (Brindle). Does not seem like they need any break-in period. Bought hiking boots a couple of years ago from Merrell for my husband and he found them very comfortable and great for his 35 miles, several days' hike in Machu Picchu, Peru. Now I have bought this pair for myself for our hikes at Mt. Rainier and for several other hikes in future, and can expect my Merrell shoes to keep me company for several years :)

Fit perfect out of the box and so comfy! I just had knee surgery a week ago and walked the road with walking sticks for half mile, my feet felt awesome as well as my back and knees. I gave this gem 5 stars ⭐️ Headed out west this summer for hiking!

This is a comfortable show for hiking.
