Helps with Hot Flashes
I can’t believe I’m writing a review about sleeping with an ice pack, but it’s that time of life, I’m afraid - you know, when it’s 30 degrees outside but you feel like you’re in the Amazon rain forest? And for those of you out there who experience the hell flashes like I do, you know my pain. Enjoying the balmy sensation of an inferno rising inside of me right in the middle of class is a daily occurrence (I’m a teacher - high school, no less - the kids got me a fan last Christmas. Sigh). And then I’m greeted every night with the sensation that I’m living in an oven and it’s- throw off the covers, followed by - I’m freezing- where are the covers?- all night long. And I know I’m not alone. But thankfully, ladies- someone was thinking of us when they created neck fans and this ice pack, pillow thingy. I leave it in the fridge all day, slip it inside my pillow case and when I start flashing…sweet relief!! And when I suddenly get cold again, I just turn over the pillow and voila ! Also, surprisingly it stays cool for much of the night. Best part- I sleep. Just don’t put it in the freezer - you’ll damage it.So, to all my fellow flashy ladies- if you are suffering as I am, get yourself a neck fan, and this baby for the night. It makes it all almost bearable. :)

I have rheumatoid arthritis and cool is often comfortable
This is perfect. You don’t have to fill it with ice or put a cover over it. It stays cold (not ice cold) for about an hour and you just put it away and as soon as it sits unused it gets cold again.

This is really COOL
This works as expected. I love when I first put my face on it -- it's truly chilly! It does warm up as it absorbs your body heat, but I slide it off and can bring it back within 15-20 minutes and it's chilly again.

Cool?
Doesn’t stay cool/cold very long. Not worth it

Too wet to use on pillow or bed
This is a thin, wide cooling pack. Put it in fridge and it's very cold for about 30 minutes. But there's no cover or case for it so condensation makes it wet, which would ruin pillow and bed.As an ice pack it's ok but as a pillow or sleeping cooler it's too wet to use.
