Neve leave your battery attached
This prodyct is very decent, very bright, especially at worksites. Day and night.I never use the usb to charge my phone, I am not risking $1000 phone destroyed by this thing.I left my fully charged makita battery for 2 weeks in off position, expecting it ready for grab and go. To my surprise, the battery was almost drained. So of you don't use it, leave your battery unplugged.

Versatile
Love this light and it’s versatility. The fact that it has a handle, makes this worthwhile. The handle allows me to throw a carabiner or locking s-hook on it to hang from places that I need light in a higher spot. So far it’s worked out great!

A decent light for the money
I bought the Makita compatible version. The quality seems decent for the money. Not up to Makita standards but good enough for what it is. A great little work light you can tuck in a corner out of the way and not have to deal with cords. Robust heatsink so I do not think it will overheat. It charges my phone fine with either USB port. The battery is slightly loose but it does not affect it in any way. I wish the light was not as focused, but still a good work light. Not much difference between low and high. I had to loosen the nut to be able to tilt the head.

Makita doesn't make a lamp with a similar design...
Portable LED Work Light for Makita 18V BatteryPros:- Works well; sufficient light for many a project; plenty of light if house power dies.- Simple toggle switch – low/off/high.- Light assembly is easily adjusted to virtually any angle.- high setting produces a nice focused beam; more spot than flood.- low uses all 16 bulbs at half power to save the battery or the brightest light isn’t needed.- very low center of gravity, so it’s not at all tip prone; stable just sitting.Cons:- When mounted on a brand new Makita BL1850B 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah battery, it drains in a matter of days even with the lamp off. So, you have to remove the battery when not in use. This is a MAJOR defect.- It’s for a Makita 18v battery; it is NOT a Makita product.- Nothing on it indicates country of origin, make or model. There are no parts available, there is no warranty and once the 30-day Amazon return window expires, you’re on your own – gives an aura of cheapness.- When mounted on a Makita battery, the lamp wobbles way too much. There is no wobble with any of my dozen Makita-brand tools.Summary:Makita doesn’t make a lamp with a similar design, so if that’s what you want, go for it.I also bought a Makita brand lamp for my wife and it’s better quality, there is a one year warranty and replacement parts are available. I should have paid a little more and got an actual Makita lamp.

Good work light
Easy enough to use and very bright. You may have to lay it on its side or back to achieve some angles, but it's compact so that's a reasonable trade off.

Not swivel-designed
TLDR: Packaged nicely. OK lighting, not going to blind you. Does NOT swivel on its own accord. Socket/nut driver required. So had high hopes for this light. It does come nicely packaged (not much to say there) in a box and internal packaging. It does fit the Makita battery system and did not seem loose (other reviewer(s) mentioned it seemed loose when connected to a battery). The light output is decent. It is definitely not going to blind you (but would be annoying to stare at). Two settings, Low and High. Basically on a rocker switch. The main issue with this light is the "adjust-ability" discussed in the write-up. Oh it does the 140 degree back-and-forth, but only after you get a socket onto the nut/bolt and loosen it. Then you have to tighten it back to keep it from flopping all the way down. Instead of some compression nuts so that it is always flexible, it is a standard nut/bolt solution. If they had put a knob on it to be able to manually tighten it would have been preferable. At least "in the field" you could use this light with manual adjustment. Also keep note. When attempting to first flex the head, you could visually see the plastic on the battery harness flexing. This will probably break A) if you first do not realize you need to loosen the nut, and B) from this getting knocked around over time. There is also a bolt/nut that holds the bracket down to the battery case. This is not meant to be adjustable, so the light only faces forward (and up when loosening the above-mentioned bolt for head-swing).The other minor annoyance is the metal carry-handle. Carries just fine, but they should of A) strapped the cable down coming from the battery to the head unit, and then B) allowed the wire-handle to snap onto the back of the light. That way it doesn't flop around when attempting to put it in your toolbox.Pretty much going to return it and look at other offerings on Amazon. I still don't want to pay $119 for the Makita one, but apparently a bit more than this $29 one found here.

Good mobile light option
It did the lighting job it was intended for. Also a good light for camping or home emergency lighting for power outages. Although I have not used the phone charger yet , that is a good option also for camping or when the power is out. Add on to this review after a few weeks I noticed that if you leave the Milwaukee battery attached to the light in the off position it does draw down the battery over time so that when you go to use it you're going to find that it's down to one bar.

Got one then ordered a second
After getting this light for work I ordered a second one for home. Doesn’t like to get wet and was flashing a bit even after I turned it off but I dried it out and works as good as new. You have to unhook it from your battery or it will discharge it even when it’s off. The only thing I would add is a magnet so you could stick it to beams and equipment.

Excellent but not as bright as I tought
Nice sturdy light as you can sit it on a flat surface or hang it. Very functional but not as bright as I thought. I worked on my brakes and after about 6 hours still had 1/2 battery left on a 7AH milawaukee battery.
