My fingertips are happy
It's always been a challenge for me to hold nails while hammering them in. Invariably I end up smashing my fingers with the hammer. This set of plastic pliers has solved that problem. The tool is shaped in a stepped configuration, allowing you to hold the handle, while holding a nail close to the wall on the other end. It has holes on the hammering end of various sizes to accommodate just about any nail you might want to use. With this tool I've made short work of placing nails to hang several pieces of wall decor. I've also used it when hammering together a wood project I was working on. The plastic is hard and sturdy enough that the hammer won't smash it, making it perfect for someone like me whose hands shake just enough to make the simple hammering of nails difficult. My fingers love it!

good way to ensure angle
I do see how these could helps save a finger. I have used them with a few finishing nails where my fingers are too big to properly get them started. My main use case though is for nails under decks or on ledgers for hangers where its working in tight spaces. Paired with a palm nailer you can ensure that the pails are going in straight in tight places or odd angles.
