Altberg Sneeker boots Mk 2 (7.5)

These boots arrived yesterday after an extremely quick delivery time of 2 days!First impressions were that there were a lot slimmer than my current pair of Lowa's and tighter on the foot. Wide footed people probably could find a more suited pair of Altbergs but then again, I am a wide footed 11.5 and have now been wearing them for a day and the difference is considerably better than my wider pair.They are incredibly lightweight, and have a supple leather higher part so rather than being fully stiff all the way up the ankle, they allow for a bit of movement, offering good ankle protection but still allowing the ankles to move and strengthen which is good if, like me, you wear boots every day. Part of the reason I switched to these was because my ankles were becoming weaker in my more rigid set of boots.I would recommend to military/police/people who perhaps spend a lot of time on their feet, need good ankle support and protection but are sometimes required to run.

Very comfortable boots from the outset with no real need to break in, as the warriors do. Although the ankle support is not great, it will suffice for light duties and physical training.
