Mull and Iona (Pevensey Island Guide)

I read this book as I am going to Mull next month. The railway from Craignure to Torosay Castle sounded very appealing. The railway is closed and is now is storage and the castle has been sold and is no longer open to the public.I think I could have obtained as much information but more up to date, on the internet.Having said that there are some interesting sections on geology and wildlife but it is 20 years old and some parts are out of date.

We have several of this series of books and they are full of beautiful photographs of the island they represent. So informative and interesting to read and research places to visit or just to sofa travel!! Great fast delivery too. What's not to like!!??

I bought this to motivate my friend before our holiday because this trip was to be out of her comfort zone. The images of the island are beautiful and helpful information prepared us for the wild escape. Would happily trust this seller again.

A well written and illustrated book. It was most useful for our recent visit to Mull in June this year.

Really useful book. Informative and covers the areas of the island that are typically missed through the usual tourist routes.A real must for your Mull & Iona trip.

Like many guide books this is a bit out of date. The sections on history and the people are fascinating, but the "around Muill) section is short and does not give a lot of information. The map is not good, with many of the places referred to in the text not being named on the map.
