I wanted to get a cheaper metal detector for my son to be able to join me on my treasure hunts. This one seemed like a good price point for what we were after.We assembled it easily and I was impressed with the amount of adjustment available- so my son was able to comfortably use this. We haven't used the headphones yet, but they could come in handy if you're in a loud area so you can better hear the different tones of the detector.We really like the compact shovel/pick-axe which is super nice for getting down to the hidden treasures.The picture readout is very nice and something my other detector lacks. It helps to know how excited to get when you hover over something.Overall we've been really impressed with this detector. My other detector eats through the 9v batteries so time will tell if this one does too.

Need training video for beginners.

I did some research on metal detectors and was impressed by the reviews I found on this one. It was on sale on Amazon, so I bought it, and I am glad I did! It is well made, and I really like these features: The screen displays what type of metal it detects, along with whether or not it may be a coin and what type. It also shows approximate depth and gives a percentile estimation of accuracy. The screen is easy to read during the day and has a nice backlight that can be turned on in the dark. It has PP functionality, which is very useful in pinpointing items found. So far, it has been very accurate. My family has lived on the property I now own for over 100 years, on which I have found two keys, a large pin, can opener and a few old coins so far as well as a very old toy pop gun that my uncles played with. My only complaint is that my arm gets tired holding it and swinging it back and forth, but this has been a problem with every metal detector I have tried. It is very light, so it's not too much of an issue. All-in-all, this is the best one I have used.

For the price you can't get any better than this. Does what it's supposed to do only use it a couple times and it works great. Needless to say, if you think you're going to go out and hit it rich I got news for you 90% of the stuff you find will be junk. That's just me talking from experience but it's still enjoyable.

Super easy to put together. I had this working in the yard searching for lost jewelry in 5 minutes using the default out of the box mode.However, the manual is like ipsum lorem. Why you can’t have someone who actually speaks English review your manual before shipping it to customers, I’ll never understand. Completely inscrutable.If I manage to figure out how this actually works, I’ll tweak my review!

Missing upper arm extension. Useless without

I got this detector to find my property markers and it works perfectly. I know the general area and use a detector to find any metal in the area. I got a few hits in and went into Pin Point mode where I found 2 bottle caps and on the third try I found a property pin that was about 3 inches below the surface. This was my first time using a metal detector and it was very easy..

Had about a month now and have used a few times. This doesn't seem to do well with the silver coin test we did (threw dimes/quarters and nickles in the yard to find) didn't find a single one when we tried. Only pennies worked. But when we took it into the woods we found several treasures. Even an old civil war Era railroad track pieces and some random tools and stuff. It was accurate with the depth notification too. The pp function had been helpful for the most part as well. We purchased a pinpointer as well which helps zero in on the target 100% of the time.Overall we are highly impressed with this detector especially for being under 100 dollars. Hopefully it holds up! We will be using it at the beach in the coming months
