Merciless Heir: A Dark Mafia Romance (Kozlov Empire Book 1)

First time reading Monica Kayne and I have to say I was not disappointed. I liked this authors style of writing, she gave detail but didn’t ramble on. Her characters were well developed and the story had intrigue, surprise and best of all, lots of hot, dirty sexy scenes.

I enjoyed the character of Georgia, who was a spirited and determined individual. The connection between Georgia and Andrei, formed through their shared experience of loss, was refreshing to read about. Additionally, the brothers provided humorous moments. I look forward to reading their stories in the future.

Is the name of the game in this world. Georgia and choices in this led her to final decision thats changes her life.

When an innocent maid is kidnapped and held captive by the Russian mob, all hell breaks loose. This was a thrill ride and was hard to put down.

You immediately meet Georgia and she is being held basically captive by Oleg and his mafia crew. But, the Kozlov brothers attack and immediately take Georgia as a pawn for the future plans. Andrei is newly in charge of the Kozlov Empire, after his father is assassinated by the family’s biggest rival. Georgia has hopes that the beautiful tattooed man that comes barreling in will be her savior. But he has other motives for her initially. Georgia is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her father safe. So, she has been moved around as a pawn now between the two mafia families, and ends up with Andrei and his family. She is quickly put to work and will need to infiltrate Oleg and his people in order to figure out where Andre’s long-lost sister is. Can Georgia pull off the unthinkable without totally falling in love with her capture. Or will Andrei be convinced that she is the woman that is meant to stand by his side and fight this war? Will The Kozlov family find the long-lost sister, and what will come of that? This was a very suspenseful first book in the Kozlov series and I cannot wait to venture on and see what else is in store for them. I absolutely love Georgia and Andrei’s love story; they seem to be fit together perfectly and push the other to be the best version of themselves!

It’s a beautiful adventure filled with excitement, passion, and violence. I couldn’t put it down, and when it was over I wanted to stay with the characters. Great book

Georgia was a maid to trying to stop her father being killed, and Oleg made sure she knew that he was going to be taking more from her. Ready to make her escape there an attack and she finds herself taken by Andrei.As much as her body wants Andrei she isn’t going to give in easily and fights him all the way, even though she would love to take revenge on Oleg it takes a lot of convincing from Adrei and his brother for her to help them.Adrei knows that he wants Georgia, but he can’t someone in his world that is not only dangerous but that someone could use against him. As time comes closer for them to execute their plan against Oleg will Andrei be able to go through with sending Georgia.Georgia knows that what they have is only for now, but hearing everything, she wants to help Adrei, know after they will be over, but it feels more real every day.

Georgia sold herself to a mafia boss to protect her father but after months of captivity she is taken by another mafia family, the Kozlov family. The Kozlov's ask her if she is willing to train in order to be a spy and fighter for them so they can find their sister who was taken by her original captor. But when the head of the family falls in love with her can he send her back to the original captor?I absolutely loved Georgia, she would clearly do anything to protect her father the only living relative she has. Andrei like most mafia bosses was strong willed and couldn't bring himself to let Georgia go even after she was completely well trained. I absolutely loved watching their story unfold.The characters were amazing. The plot was good and strong and there were definitely a few twists I didn't see coming at all. I did however have some issues with the flow and pace. For me they were a little inconsistent. All in all it was a good book and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This one starts with a bang and keeps right on going. The steam between Andrei and Georgia is super intense and enough that you can feel the heat rising off the pages in waves. Who wouldn't want to be taken by this kind of enemy? Tall, well-dressed, and sexy as all get out. He's a wet dream walking in through the door from the beginning, and his dirty talk is on point. Georgia isn't about to give in easily, though, and makes him work hard to get her to agree to his and his brother's plans to seek revenge against their common enemy. Training her in every way to dupe Oleg is the ultimate slap in the face. He won't believe that Georgia is capable of being duplicitous. Their enemy believes her to be weak, and turning her into a femme fatale will allow her to gain valuable information for the Kozlov brothers. Andrei tries and fails to keep his distance from Georgia. She's everything he wants in a woman, but he knows his world is dangerous. Anyone he introduces to the Bratva life can be used against him like his mother was. His heart may want to claim Georgia as his own; his brain knows he must let her go. In the end, which will win out when the ultimate battle occurs? Is he strong enough to watch her walk away, or will she surprise him and choose a life of peril by his side?There is page-turning action, pulse-pounding intensity, and no lack of sexual energy wherever Andrei and Georgia happen to be. I was drawn into the multi-facets of Andrei and Georgia's personalities. Watching Georgia gain strength through her many training classes and blooming under Andrei's gun-handling tutelage is a sight to behold. Seeing the tough-as-nails Bratva leader fall for the girl is even better than I imagined. I can't wait for more in this series!

I thought like all mafia books it would be just sex, but LUCKILY NO, it has plot ad a very good one, was dynamic. I love it

Intresting book with engaging story, with action, danger, violence, insta-lust, possessive anti hero, family banter, jealousy,lots of heat and love. Nicely paced storyline and some twists which I wasn't expecting.

Andrei and Georgia are different in so many ways but hatred of one common enemy connects them. From hate to love, pain to passion and manipulation to choosing each other they don't make it easy to not fall for them. The strength of the fmc was the highlight of this book for me. The way Andrei cares for her over his purpose, his world and everything else is mind-blowing. It was a good read!
