ABN Automotive Fluid Transfer Hand Pump Syringe Bottle – Transmission, Brake, Steering, Differential Extractor Dispenser

Amazing; I was skeptical but the reviews for this product were excellent. I got it via Amazon and used it to get all the old gear oil out of a dodge dually. ( A dually holds a ton of oil!!) This thing was amazing. It worked perfectly. Super easy to use. Didn’t leak. Then I was able to use to it to put fresh gear oil back into each axel. This tool saved me so much time. Five stars!! Worth every penny!!!!!!!

My "old" and "orphaned" '95 Isuzu Trooper LS racked up 40,000 miles since the last front/rear-axle-differential and transfer-case gear oil change. Couldn't suffer the inconvenience of delivering the SUV to the mechanic for this fluid service, so I began thinking to do it myself. For "first-time" experiences, I always research the factory shop-manual, do some close inspection reconnaissance of the vehicle, and get pictures in my mind of each step toward some objective. I look for "the one, right tool" for crucial aspects of the work.I'd already purchased a transfer-pump at Auto-Zone, but some reviews suggested that it leaked or that it was sluggish with gear oil of 90 to 140 viscosity. Then, I found this little gem.No mess, allows you to put oil in fill ports that are tedious or troublesome to easy access. No leaks. The pump has a small nipple that fits the end of the plastic tubing. You'll be transferring 3/8 quart at a time, so there will always be some oil in the clear tubing between iterative fills. The nipple allows you to move around the shop with this giant syringe without dripping all over the floor and workbench. I'd say it takes about 30 to 40 seconds to discharge a full 3/8 quart delivery at a time.Personally, I didn't even want to raise the Trooper on jackstands if I could do the three oil replacements without them. It only requires some careful attention to assure the flexible tubing is pushed into the differential or transfer-case housing so it won't easily come out while you push the plunger.So given the pump's touted use for gear-oil changes, I can only advise others to remove the fill-port bolt first so you're sure that you can get it off before opening the drain plug. Use something like Permatex Hi-Temp Thread Sealer on the drain bolt reinstallation, and putting it on the fill-port bolt won't hurt anything either.This is a NICE plastic tool! N-n-n-NICE!

For years I have been filling my rear diff in various vehicles with a hodge podge of contraptions and hoses. The way the rear diff is on most vehicles leads you to not being able to pour the diff fluid from the bottle into the top/side of the diff (normally stuff or suspension components are in the way). What ends up happening is that I spill diff fluid in places or it's very messy... On top of that normally takes WAY longer than it needs to be and I come out smelling like diff fluid.I saw this and it's counterparts and bought this one because of all the good reviews.I just filled my w211 e350's rear diff using this device and it was NO mess, and took about 8 minutes!!Why did I not buy this sooner. I am blown away at how easy and well this worked. ZERO Struggle, ZERO issues.I'm buying another one just to have.The MAIN reason why I bought this over all other is that both ends can be unscrewed. Why is that important? If you want to clean the unit it's super easy to clean and put a cloth/towels through the container to clean it than to have to fish it in at only one side. This makes it so much better than the others out there.

The pump seems to have good suction and sealing. However, there is no connector for the hose extension, but I heated the larger hose and was able to stretch it over the smaller one. However, it was still not long enough to let me remove any transmission fluid using the filler tube. The dipstick was showing over full and I wanted to add a pint of transmission conditioner. I had another hose, and I cut off about three (3) feet and the problem was solved. Hose is cheap, so I would recommend ordering three (3) feet along with the pump.

This fluid transfer pump is great. So far, I've used it to change the gear oil in my transfer cases as well as the power steering fluid in multiple cars. It allowed me to easily pump gear oil into the most inaccessible fill ports in my AWD vehicles. I used to use a turkey baster for my power steering fluid. Then I tried using a battery syringe. Unfortunately I've had issues with the rubber parts dissolving on both the turkey baster and battery syringe. No more. This pump is impervious to all automotive fluids. Just make sure you thoroughly clean and flush it out before you use it to transfer a different type of fluid.

I use this for extracting old lube oil from gearboxes on our farm implements. The 7/16" OD flexible hose reaches down into nooks & crannies. This tool is solidly built, has good suction and is easy to grip - good for putting some muscle to the task! It holds whatever's in the hose & plunger and doesn't drip. Also comes apart nicely for clean up. Highly recommended.

This was a very pleasant surprise. I used it (twice now) for injecting transmission fluid into a manual transmission that takes ATF. For this job, the syringe must be tipped up at a considerable angle. With any similar device I have used in the past, including one of steel construction, this has always resulted in dripping back along the plunger rod and out onto one's sleeve. With the ABN injector, there was none of this back-leakage whatsoever. Plastic, yes, but the heaviest and most durable-feeling plastic I have ever seen. Very, very happy with this product.

This product is built well and has a quality feel. It works flawlessly and contains fluids without leaking.I've used this for maintenance on my snowmobile chain case service as well as my ATV for transfer case service.Highly recommended.
