It is as described just did not do as described and hoped for. My puppy was frustrated he couldn't get a good drink since water only comes through if the dog pushes down on the floating plastic disc but is also supposed to be drinking at the same time. So he just picked the bowl up and ran off with it. He'd also just slam his paw down on the disc and splash water. Only used it for an hour and had several spills and I don't like how hard it is for him to get a drink of water.Water needs to be easier to get and the edges need to be the tapered wide design to prevent at least small and medium dogs from being able to get a grip on it and run off.

I have a smaller version of this type, and my biggest issue was needing to fill it up all the time. The size of this bowl helps in having to fill up the water bowl as often, and it being clear makes it so much easier to see how much water is in the bowl, as well as the quality of the water bowl. The tabs on the side really helps in keeping the floating part from coming out, and makes it easy to know when the water is filled up. My dogs love this bowl, and its nice to know they are getting clean water, and not sloshing the water everywhere when they drink.

I have a dog that will drink so quickly that she will make herself vomit. She's always done this no matter how often she's given plenty of water. It has caused us so much worry because dogs can get bloat from drinking fast and die. We had bought a different water bowl before that served the purpose of drinking slowly, but they would get impatient and paw at the bowl, causing the top piece to come out. Well, THIS BOWL IS PERFECT! They are forced to drink slowly AND it has little stoppers at the top to prevent the dog from flipping out the top part. Great quality, well made, and works exactly as we need it to. Highly Recommend!!

It definitely helps keep the splashing down, which I love, and it is easy to add water (just pour it in like any other bowl) but I wish it was larger!! I feel like I am constantly adding water... So, for small dogs, totally worth it, but if your dog drinks a lot of water, I would not advise this as your primary water bowl.

Came to me with crack and cheaply made

The dog dish came well packed, in a nice sturdy box. The dish is everything the manufacturer advertised. It is well made, and very cleverly designed. The water stays fresh while the dog laps up the water. My dog seems to think it is a game to see how much water he can drink before it runs dry. I use it on my porch instead of a bucket. It is much more attractive than a red bucket, and it fits into my decor. The water does not spill all over the floor keeping everything neat. I like the water bowl as much as my dog does, even though he can't type a review.

Only time will tell with how this holds up, however initial impressions are, even though there were instructions it was fairly straight forward to set it up. I like that the dish is clear so you can see the water level easily as well as if the bowl needs cleaned. I wish it was slightly bigger but that is just because I have a large breed dog that drinks lots of water. I haven’t noticed any water splashed on the ground so it seems to be working in that regard. I’ll update after using the bowl for longer than a couple of days.
