These are similar to the original red chewy rope candy you may remember buying before heading to the movies. They are, however, softer, easier to chew, and less likely to pull out dental work. No guarantees tho - because we're in the middle of having some dental work done and have temps in place we are VERY cautious ie, small nibbles not big bites.The flavor is more sweet than tangy. One isn't going to have sore cheeks or a sore tongue after (over) indulging in these. The creamy filling makes the flavor a mild creamy strawberry.The package is supposed to be "multi serving" - a serving being 2 ropes. That's fine, if someone hands out 2 each to 3 kids. Unfortunately, in the hands of this adult, it was more like...we'll try one. Maybe another one. Maybe another one. The end result - the bag was a serving. We don't have any impulse control at all (insert shameful face emoji)!Anyway...We have not shared. We have 3 packs out of the 6 pack left. Our approach to consuming these is: the whole bag has fewer calories than one of our favorite chocolate bars. So, they are a temporary snacking win.

every package I received was so expired they were not even the correct color. they had to be out of date by a year or more! And they are non refundable so that's just $15 down the drain

Before ordering these, I had already had them once so I knew I'd love them! However, I didn't know they came in 'king' size like this.So basically what this is is a piece of tangy licorice with a white, almost chalky filling! But don't worry, it's delicious and not a bad texture at all. It just isn't licorice-like in the middle. The ones I received were extremely soft and fresh. Everyone loves them. I would prefer them both to licorice and sweet tarts!And one packet does have plenty of strips to satisfy a sweet tooth, probably even enough to share!Overall everyone here really likes them and for that reason I would definitely recommend as well as order again myself!

What can I say, Sweet Tarts are great. These are no different. Never had the Sweet Tarts Ropes before but they were as good as all the other Sweet Tarts.

I do not like the waxy texture of licorice candy or the springy bounciness of gummy candies. When I read these were described as licorice in some places, I was regretting that I requested to try this. What a surprise I got when I opened one of these packs! The texture is soft and chewy and stretchy, but in a great way. The flavor is SO INTENSE! Crazy good and the rope lasted much longer than I would have imagined. Just one bite really satisfied my sweet tooth so these pouches are definitely a win. If you are usually leery of licorice and gummies, don't count these out. They are absolutely delicious and the texture is not off-putting at all!
