ZONETECH Parking Sensors LED Display Car Reverse Backup Radar System (2 Pack)

For the price.... This is a great product and can't be beat. I installed it on my 2013 Toyota 4runner. Wires were long enough to go from the sensors to the module, and from the head unit to the module. I mounted the head unit on top of my rear view mirror. The left and right indicators work appropriately and accurately as long as the sensors are plugged into the module in the correct ports. Ports 1 and 2 are left, ports 3 and 4 are right. The reasons I give this 4 stars instead of 5...... First, the unit does a little self test calibration procedure each time you put the car in reverse which includes testing the audible beep. That's fine...but.... It does it even when shifting from park straight to drive, and from drive straight to park. The beep is absolutely obnoxious, annoying, and irritating. I get it, for backing up close to something, that's the point, but every time you put the car in and it of park and drive it sucks. The second reason for the 4 stars is that although the accuracy is good, it is slightly time delayed, where as if you back up too fast, you'll hit an object before the sensors and module can alert the solid tone. You have to back up slowly and give time for the system to resolve the distance and output. For those that are good and proficient at parallel parking, you have to slow it down to get an accurate feedback for the true distance. The reason I know this, is that I have a back up camera as well, and while testing out the system, I would have hit stuff before the system went to full indication, and just as your thinking "What the heck is wrong with the system", it goes to full indication, and you're like "oh, ok." Just that ½ second delay is enough to miss lead you though. With all that being said, you absolutely can't beat this product for the price. Everything worked and the install was easy.

This system is OK for the money. The first one failed, however, I figured out in the second install what were the issues.First, try to get everything set so that you do not have to plug in connectors more than once. They break easily.Second, the system seems to be very voltage sensitive. My system does not work until the engine is running and the voltage is higher. Both systems were sensitive to this. I think this accounts for some systems not working in the reviews.Third, forget using the hole saw. Not for metal at all. Even on plastic didn't cut well and left the mounting hole undersized.I am using this for a front sensor to avoid hitting things with my oversize winch bumper. I avoided going through the firewall by mounting the display upside down on the underside of the rear of the hood. It is easily seen and avoids hearing the too loud warning buzzer.

This is a great little sensor unit. I bought a titanium step bit per other reviews (the hole saw fell apart just trying to make a pilot hole for one of the spots.I installed this on my 2001 F150 Supercrew Lariat.I drill the 4 holes (took 2 days because drilling into the metal bumper killed my battery after 2 1/2 holes).Part way through, since my drill battery died, I decided to do the electrical work. I decided to tap in to the right reverse light. The power cable on the backup sensor unit has 2 wires, red (hot) and black (ground). The reverse light also has 2 wires. Mine had a solid black that was for ground and one with a blue stripe going up the wire for the hot wire. I cut the wire, stripped to expose the copper, tinned both with solder, tinned the power cable with solder, soldered all 6 ends (2 from the cable and the 4 from splicing the reverse light wire). I decided, since I had (barely) enough room, that I would keep the main unit in the light housing because the power cable was short and it would be a nice dry place to keep this located.I ran the 4 sensors wires over across (behind) the bumper and into the hole going into the reverse light area, plugged them in and then, since I didn't want to add wire and make holes/find holes, I ran the LCD/beeping alarm from the back seat and through the rear sliding window, down in front of the truck bed, and looped it through holes of the truck frame until it was in the same compartment as the other wires. My window closed tightly, I poured a bottle of water on the seam and it didn't leak, so this was a great place for me to put mine and, as I mentioned, I didn't have to add any extra wire to get this job done.I then zip tied all of the loose wires so they wouldn't snag on anything while driving and so it looks nice.FINALLY, and this is important, in reading reviews of these various backup sensors, I noticed a lot of people (not really on this one) complained about it constantly beeping while backing up even when there is nothing in the way of the sensors. I pulled each sensor out and realized that each sensor has an arrow pointing up and it says "up". I rotated each sensor to be pointing up and the random beeps are gone and it works great.I recommend this, and rest assured that its doable on a truck without adding extra wire! (as long as you have a rear sliding window and are willing to use it)

Easy to install. Works great.

Pretty good system especially for the price, the sensor wires could stand to be a couple feet longer, by the time you go across the rear bumper you don’t have much wire left to place the box in a good position.Seems to work reliably but you can get ahead of it if you reverse too quickly so you need to go slowly, distance from objects displayed is pretty accurate.Just a heads up, lots of cars already have sensor placement positions marked inside the rear bumper cover, just drill those positions and it gives a much better install and a factory look.

I had to return this item because my husband’s truck bumper is made of metal and not fibreglass. Too bad because I hate not having a backup sensor!

I Bought the sensors last October and a month ago the 2 middle one stop to work, I called to check on the warranty and they told me is 12 months, but before ask for refound I disconnected all the cables from the entraline box and cleaned the sensor, then I connected back again and now they work back normally. Easy to install and good price.
