This is very light weight we see a sponge kinda thing inside. It will not make door to stay on one place if the door is moving. When I put it in room doors, I avoided light from outside, and it was helpful When we were renovating kitchen. It did not allow any cement or saw dust inside room. But When ur sweaping room hairs gets attached to it from broom. With respect to sound, it does not avoid sound intensity.

Quality can be improved

I would recommend this to people who facing BUGS and DUST coming from Door Gap. After installing this to our Front Door, we feel the dust flowing inside the house thru the door gap got to stop, and mainly the small insects and bugs coming thru the door gap also got arrested which is a very extreme relief for us. It's also quite easy to cut size as needed to your door width.

It is simple to install and adjustable for door widths less than 36 inches. It serves the purpose of eliminating leakage of cold air from an AC room and reduces the amount of dust and creepy crawlies going in. There is no way to stick it to the door. So, if the gap between door and floor is not uniform, the entire sealing strip gets twisted and the door movement is jammed. Also, it cannot be used where you have a marble or granite strip at the threshhold of door as the foam cannot be compressed easily.

Its goid for ac room doors. But cost is little higher. Smart & simple product. Hats off to ideatirs. Simple solution for AC installed room doors.
