good overview
This is a good overview of Texas Indian history and provides sources for further research. I recommend it to anyone interested in a big picture account.

Bought for research, reading it was a pleasure
A local organization in San Antonio, TX, asked a small committee to research the tribes that lived in this area for possible place names. This book was chosen to aid in the research. Reading it was a pleasure and also very informative for the project.

Well Done!
I learned more about Texas Indians past and present than I have in any one source. It is well written and easy to read. Thank you Dr. La Vere.

The Texas Indians
This is a hard bound book with a paper cover on it that makes the book look really nice. I needed this book for a class I am taking and it is in perfect condition, thanks to the seller.
