This is a well designed and executed duster. I use Diatomaceous Earth (DE) to dust my garden keeping organic. The DE works wonders on most bugs like aphids, caterpillars, and even ants but it's completely harmless to pets and people. Just keep out of your eyes and lungs as it's a mild irritant. To use the DE I needed a duster that I could get into and up and under my vegetables canopy. This JT Eaton bulb duster is just the right thing small enough to hold in one hand but large enough to carry a bunch of dust.The rubber stopper on the top does a good deal to seal the top. There was no leakage at all. There was a small ball bearing included which is tossed into the top and can be used to knock about the dust if it clumps. The spring keeps the bellows opened. The wand is long enough to get some good reach and the rubber tip is a nice touch.In use the duster has been easy and effective to use. It does a good job of spraying a good cloud of DE for me.

This little gadgetdoes exactly as it says. It takes a little practice to get the pressure right. I'm using it for diatomacious earth, which one is NOT supposed to inhale. If you're not certain of the technique, I suppose you could practice with flour or something safer. I didn't and it really wasn't a problem. I recommend a light touch. The duster seems to be very well made. I've used it about 6 times so far, and lent it to a friend. She thought it was nifty. It's a simple, but effective little tool.

I use diatomaceous earth instead of pesticide on my plants and this makes dusting so easy. Just put something inside it, like a marble, to make it easy to keep what ever you're dusting with loose so it comes out easily. I really like this.

Boric acid & diatomaceous earth are effective, long last means of controlling infestations of virtually any crawling insect, including termites. The problem is getting the powder into crevices which they are most likely to use for ingress into your living space ... I am using during reconstruction of several rooms, including rafters, after major damage by dry wood termites, which you cannot treat/prevent via ground treatments.

The bulb I received did not have the O-ring on the brass screw holding the clearing and metering rod. Also, the rod was rusty as if it had been immersed or cleaned and left in the duster. I think I received one that was returned and put back into inventory. That should never happen, in my opinion, but the seller is not the one shipping these out. (the seller is often not the same as fulfillment)This thing works much better than those large, expensive, "professional" bulbs with the various tips. The main reason is that the discharge tube on this one runs the entire diameter of the bottom of the bellows and has slots cut into it to allow dust to fall in. This way you don't shoot a stream of dust like those big bulbs or are just blowing air because the dust is at the bottom of the bulb. I had one of those and it went back IMMEDIATELY.Will this hold up? I'm sure it will since I don't plan on using it 24/7. The company made good on the product even though it was not their fault. THAT, was impressive.

It dusts pretty good, though you have to make sure you have more than 1/4 of the container full. If less than 1/4 full than it will look like it misses blowing mostly air. Maybe its just me, but when I press to dust I want to see a bunch of powder come out. I used this with the Terro Ant dust to kill carpenter ants and carpenter bees. It probably actually still blows the powder when less than a 1/4 full, and probably still more than enough to kill the ants and bees, but I was getting pissed by the carpenter bees eating my house. I wanted them dead and gone

Easily assembled. Haven't had an opportunity to use it yet, but saw the same duster used by an exterminator.It was highly recommended.

I attached the bulb into a spray can pole adapter and using a long paint pole was able to spray insecticidal powder onto the eave eradicate a wasp colony. It works well, however you have to give it a shake to reprime the tube with powder. It is very well made and the Dr Doom powder did the job very quickly whereas 3 cans of wasp spray failed.

Really happy with how quickly the duster was delivered.Picture shows the duster sent which looks like the more expensive duster sold. Not sure how to use these added items and there was no cleaning rod included as described in the product description. Seems to work well though. Good to have in my arsenal against insect intruders.

Happy with this sturdy duster, but the price tag is too much.
