Firehouse Technology Micro Tri Color Professional Drone Strobe Light FAA Compliant

The media could not be loaded.  We were looking for a small lightweight uncased FAA compliant light that fits on small airframes, weighs less than on a mini and avata than the regulation weight and of course for night ops and daytime visibility, we had tried a few off Amazon but they were just junk (get what you pay for) or died after a short time. Firehouse Technology came up in the forums as a commercial light that was rated the best on more than a few youtube reviews so we tried it. I did try the vifly that was cheap but its made with chinese knock off cree led that runs in series and one bulb went bad and the rest failed (aka Christmas 1962 lights one bulb goes they all go) The Firehouse light is basic and they were the first to make these type lights (the rest are copies of theirs) , they do make an encased waterproof version which has a specially designed top lens that provides more side light, but we opted for this model as we did not need a case and wanted to make our own case/mount for the aircraft. First off the leds are just damn bright, I still cannot see, secondly they are 5 watt cree leds not 2-3 watt like the rest, so even the colors are blinding, it has 4 modes, strobe flash, steady and all on (they all flash at once). This lets me use one as red on one arm, on as green on the other arm and one on top at night with full brightness. The battery runs a solid 3-4 hours on full charge in strobe mode, and charges fast if i need to quick power bump. They also stand by what they sell as we has an issue with one that got (our fault) stepped on and they replace it no questions. Its slightly cheaper and far batter build. Thanks again Firehouse for another great product.

I bought this and the cheaper vfly at the same time. The vfly one is cheaper, lighter and twice as brighyIt's simply not worth the money.Also, it takes the old micro-usb so the charge is slow. I'm pretty sure it delivers from China because the shipping was delayed several times. I will be asking for a refund.

Several different steady and flashing modes in white, green, red and all. Holding it at arms length, I cant even look at it due it's incredible brightness, so I believe visibility at altitude isn't even a question. This light is very compact and lightweight, and it's especially great for smaller and lighter drones. Great product. I'd highly recommend.

Received a defective light to which seller later refunded money.

Great strobe lights!! I had to exchange one of them and had a written response within ten hours from the company and a replacement within five days. Looking forward to using them on my DJI M4P no that it’s dark by 1700.

You will be able to see this 3 or 4 miles easy! Watch your eyes when you turn it on it will blind you for a little while.

I gave a good initial review on this product but I have since experienced a problem of only randomly being able to turn on this Firehouse strobe light.Due to this undependable functionality I will be returning it and paying the return postage.
