4.5/5 - Excellent Beginners Telescope.
Firstly and most importantly: Right out of the box, you can have a good time with this telescope! This is NOT a department store hobby-killing piece of junk like so many cheap telescopes can be.Bought this telescope in Apr24 and has been an excellent tool to start my journey through the night sky with. The telescope itself is excellent for beginners. Easy to set up, lightweight and comes with some nice features like the mobile phone adapter and built-in light.Minor Flaw: After a few months of use, the altitude axis (up and down) is still very smooth and sharp, however the azimuth axis (swivel left and right) is starting to become a bit stiff. Not too much of an issue yet but will become frustrating in time.Upgrade Your Experience: The eyepieces that it comes with are usable but 'meh'. If you want to bump up your experience without buying a whole new telescope, upgrade the eyepieces to a set of decent Svbony red/gold line wide-angle lenses and you will have a great time with this telescope looking at the moon and planets etc.

So simple to setup
Took about 15 minutes to setup, aligning the spotter scope with the telescope was very easy. after about 10 - 15 minutes of looking at the night sky was looking at Jupiter and 4 of its moons. Superb telescope

Perfect for beginners
A great first telescope, easy to set up and use, handle is easy to operate. With the purchase of a couple of additional eyepieces I've even been able to see the banding on Jupiter!

Disappointed!
Disappointed! Unfortunately I'm unable to use the telescope as the star finder doesn't work. This is the most annoying part of the telescope. It's extremely hard to change the battery as the compartment is terribly made and using a coin to unscrew isnt easy. I'm considering returning as Celestron have said it will take 2-3 weeks for a replacement finder. Otherwise tripod is good and the actual telescope design is nice.

My Grandson Loves It.
My 15-year-old Grandson is really interested in astronomy and wanted this on the recommendation of one of his teachers as he wanted to photograph through it. It was supposed be to Christmas but on a visit to me He persuaded both me and his parents to let him open it.His dad and he set it up which was quite easy, to set up the finder it needs to be done in dull light rather than bright sunlight.Since then both my grandson and his dad have found it easy to use and so far I've been sent 15 pictures of the moon.

Great telescope!
Great telescope! I bought it as a gift for a friend, and they said it was easy to set up. They were even able to see Jupiter’s rings with their own eyes, which made them very happy! Overall, a fantastic purchase.

Certainly for beginners or younger children with supervision
This is a great piece of kit, quality build and materials, easy to find targets and focus, but you do need to be a little practical and younger children would struggle
