I was looking for nightstands to complement our existing Broyhill pine bedroom set. These fit the bill perfectly! The color is called "farmhouse black" but what I like is that they are not "screaming" black or opaque looking in anyway. The color has a lot of dimension to it - shades of dark brown etc. so it eases into the other woods in our room. Despite the distressing of the wood, they do NOT feel dry/rough/splintery at all. They feel like they are very well coated/sealed. I changed out the knobs on our dresser to a oil rubbed bronze and it further aesthetically joins the pieces - or so I think! :) They came packed very nicely and assembly was straightforward with good instructions. The only negative is that they do have a rather strong smell of stain when you take them out of the box. After assembling the first one, I sat it outside under a covered deck to off-gas for 48 hours then it was fine. For the second one, I put the pieces outside first so as to avoid the strong smell during the assembly process. Worked great. These are very sturdy and interesting looking. Drawers slide well. No regrets at all. I am very very happy with my purchase. Take some time to go on the Grainwood Furniture website and check out the information/videos there regarding the company and its furniture production process, etc. Very interesting.

These nightstands are gorgeous. They’re solid wood and heavy with great storage space. It’s so hard to find decent sized wood nightstands, for a good price. 10/10The first one was a little hard for me to assemble as some of pictures in the instructions didn't show certain angles that would have been helpful. However, I got it figured out and the 2nd one was a lot easier

I bought two of these nightstands for my home. They arrived timely and we’re easy to out together (I am experienced with putting furniture together, but don’t think this would be difficult for anyone). Once assembled, I found the nightstands to be very attractive. They are made of solid wood and finished exactly as they look in the product photos. I think they are tough enough to withstand years of wear and tear. I stopped short of 5 stars as I had two minor issues with them. First, I wish they were slightly taller. They aren’t ridiculously short, but I would have preferred a couple of inches higher. I suppose I could raise them with some pads on the bottom of the legs, but it wasn’t that annoying. Secondly, on one of the units, the drawer sits slightly crooked. I don’t think most people would notice, but I am not most people. I am cursed with a keen eye for symmetry and if I focused enough on it, it would mildly annoy me. I tried to adjust it to make it straighter, but it would’ve required a lot of work and it just isn’t that annoying to me. Just enough to mention here, but not enough to fix, if that makes sense. Anyway, I would buy these again and rate them 4 stars.

I bought a full set of this furniture, in two different colors, for two of my boys. The bad - it is a ton of assembly. One person can do it though. The good? It comes together very sturdily. Nice finish and real wood. It looks good. Fair price. I have never dealt with nicer “put together yourself” before. Once together, it’s like a nice piece from a nice store. It’s also packaged very well.

So happy to find the nightstand that matches the bed & dresser. The assembly is time consuming, but it is not difficult. Each piece is labeled very well. This is not cheaply made furniture.

These nightstands are beautiful, however….they do not come assembled. I’mNot sure if it says it doesn’t and I missed it but when I received them I was surprised that I had to put it together. 1,000 pieces and screws and nails. It was “easy” to put together but still.It’s such a beautiful piece of furniture and I would buy it again.
