The cup was ok, suddenly it started leaking underneath, the rubber it has under started to detach and rust is coming out of it…. Cannot be used anymore, I just had it for a month (not even using it every day; only for M-F in-office use, with regular wash by hand); unfortunately I cannot return it (33 days after receiving it… what a shame); if you are looking for a lasting reliable tea cup, this is not a recommended one.

I ordered a new product, this one CLEARLY wasn't. Apparently its been used since the straw was unwrapped, the box was bent up & the brush was sticking out of the pkg & there was an eyelash? in the cup. GROSS!

This yerba mate gourd is the perfect size. It comes with two types of metal filter straws to choose from and a wire brush to clean the straws. The top and the gourd itself are easy to clean. The only complaint I have is that the rubber bottom fell off the second time I hand washed it. It wasn't a big deal to glue it back on, but I shouldn't have had to.

I've normally used the wooden gourds, but when this came up to try I wanted to see how it worked. The experience is a little different for me as my experience has always been from the wooden gourds, but it felt nice in my hand and worked well.Others thought it was nice as well.The straw has a filter on the end. Once you put that in, pour the mate over the top and then pour in small amounts of hot water, you are good to go. You will get some sediment in your mouth, but it's very minimal. I've never found a bombilla that does that perfectly.Overall I recommend it. I still prefer drinking out of a wooden gourd, but this one is lovely and works perfectly.
