The Doidy Cup, designed and made in the U.K, to teach your child to drink from a rim. The unique slant of the cup enables children to drink easily as they can see the contents without thrusting their heads forward and downwards. They also learn to put the cups down properly. Babies as young as 6 mths find the two handled cup easy to hold and use, but with Mum's help the cup can be used from birth. Confirms to EN14350 and is made from food safe HD Polyethylene and is Bisphenol free. Dishwasher (top shelf) and microwave safe. (Warning - microwaving liquids can result in 'hot spots' and is not advised for children's drinks.) 3 Items Supplied 1 x Purple Doidy Cup 1 x Red Doidy Cup 1 x Blue Doidy Cup

So helpful for weaning
We're just at the point where we're weaning and so need to give my son regular sips of water. These are a really super first cup because you don't have to tip them up as much as normal cups and so we don't end up spilling so much water down him. These are the first thing he's used after a bottle and he's had no difficulty adapting at all. In fact he loves grabbing onto them and trying to chug down the water. The handles are helping to teach him how to do it himself. Water does still spill down him a bit but that's usually because he's so enthusiastic.

Get one - don't bother with sippy cups
I wondered what all the fuss was about but I absolutely recommend these. Totally skipped the sippy cup stage and it's been brilliant.DD used hers from about 9 months and I started by holding the bottom and she soon started to grab the handles herself. We took one for nursery too so that she didn't use a spout there either. Made the transition from bottles so easy and we have had no beaker/sippy cup/spout transition issues. She now uses big girl cups/glasses and it's great when we're out because she just uses glasses (with supervision) so we don't have to cart one more thing around with us.

Easy for baby to hold
I thought I had made a new discovery with these cups, but my Mum is convinced that we had them as babies too (that would be erm 36 years ago...)! I am nursing my daughter and we haven't been using bottles at all, so were looking for an alternative. She is just about 6 months and is readily able to grip the cups with two hands. The drinking part is still a bit uncontrolled, so she will need help for a couple more months, I would think. Better than a sippy cup though, which she can't manage to sip from (sucking motion with the sippy cups may be too different compared to breastfeeding).

Love. Love. Love.
Love this product. Took a few try's but as I gave this cup to my 6 month old baby, she was able to hold the cup by the handles and sip the water without any problems. No choking and no gagging. And now whenever I give her the cup, she knows what to do. And the Doidy cup comes in a lovely range of colours.

but instantly and happily was drinking from these cups
My 4 month old breastfed baby was refusing all the bottles we tried, but instantly and happily was drinking from these cups. A little messy, but does the job.

Better than a soppy cup for children who are not bottle fed.
Used these cups with my children and now my granddaughter is learning to use. Great to see when liquid is near the mouth and children learn to use them easily.

okay but not for out child
by the time we were starting to drink out of cups, we only used one of these for a few weeks...daughter preferred the water bottled with built in straws, the IKEA/Tommy Tippi sippy cups..then IKEA childrens cups.
