I can't understand the negative reviews.
I loved everything about my Maytronics Dolphin EXCEPT the cord. It would always wrap itself around our railing. I checked out 5 different cordless models this past summer (9 months ago). The Seauto line-up has great products for any pool. I tried both the Shark and Seal. Ultimately, I returned the Shark because the Seal was more than enough for my kidney shaped pool with pebble tech finish. The Shark was actually overkill for my pool and because where the wall and floor meet isn't 90°, the Seal was all I needed. Although not advertised, the Seal does aggressively scrub water line. Furthermore, some people criticize Seauto's customer service. This was not my experience at all. I sent them an email and they promptly replied. Seauto is a new company to the pool game and they love their product as much as I do. They're built to last and you can even replace the battery unit which is a feature nobody else offers. Another great part about this company being new-ish is that their pricing is more than fair. You can easily compare the Shark and Seal to models in the $1200-$1500 range. The sonar system is spot on. I can tell because the drain is perfectly centered at the bottom of our deep end...because an engineer designed it. When the robot's sonar scans the pool it goes exactly to the drain spot (handles the lip of drain cover perfectly) because it is perfectly centered. People often complain about the app. functionality not being able to work under water. They would like to be able to use it like a remote control for "spot cleaning." There is one robot that offers that functionality successfully, but it is over $2k...not worth the extra $ for that little bit of functionality in my opinion. Furthermore, the Seal and Shark work so well, I've never needed remote control style function. Motors are really strong, battery life is excellent, and it even picks up large heavy leaves from my magnolia tree. The basket capacity is huge too. It is my fear that Seauto will lose support by a few negative reviews from people who may not understand electronics or expect underwater wifi ad if it was the roomba in their living room. If you have the 90° get the Shark. If your wall slopes to the floor, the Seal is more than enough...again, it climbs wall effortlessly and scrubs waterline better than any robot I've used, corded or cordless.

Worked for one cleaning cycle.
I had read many reviews and watched several videos on the Shark. From the mixed reviews I knew it was a crap shoot.I bought my Shark on Feb. 20th and received my delivery two days later. The packaging was very good and protected the Shark well. My first impressions were very good - 5 out of 5. The robot seemed very well built. Seemed to be of good quality and fit and finish. The app in my experience, although a little buggy, was not as bad as many of the reviews I had read. Maybe there have been some improvements.I plugged the Shark in and after a few short hours it was fully charged. I had made sure to read the owners manual cover to cover to make sure I was operating the robot correctly. Using the app, I placed the robot in All mode and placed it in my pool to go to work. For over two hours the Shark cleaned about 90% of my pool - floor, walls, water line, stairs and two Cabo shelves. I was impressed. Toward the end of the cleaning cycle, the Shark displayed a yellow light and parked near a wall. I figured it may be due to a low battery, or due to the debris in the basket, which was mostly fine dirt. I rinsed the basket and gave the Shark a rinse before letting it dry overnight. The next morning a made sure the charge port was dry and plugged the Shark in to charge. A few short hours later it was ready to go.Round two. I set the shark to floor only mode, because the center of the floor was the only area it did not cover during the first cleaning. It started up, sank to the bottom and began orienting itself in the pool. Within 15 seconds, the yellow light illuminated. I retrieved the Shark, placed it in All mode and tried again. Instantly the yellow light illuminated and the Shark shut down. I retrieved the Shark again, performed a reset per the users manual and tried a third time. Again, instantly the yellow light of death illuminated.I’ve contacted Seauto per the support email address in the manual on a Saturday and haven’t heard back from them as of the following Tuesday. I’m hoping I can get the Shark repaired or replaced as I did like it when it was working. Hopefully Seauto will step up and make things right. If the Shark continued working the way it did on the initial cleaning, it would have been a 5 out of 5 stars from me. But because it continues to have a history of bricking within a few weeks of purchase (or in my case instantly) I would not recommend taking the same risk I did.Should anything change with my situation, I will update. If not, I’ll return to Amazon due to a lack of support from Seauto with a lesson learned. I’ll give Seauto every opportunity to make things right, as I truly do want to love this product.***update***I never heard anything from Seauto. I returned the Shark as defective through Amazon within the 30 day return window for a full refund. If you are going to take a chance on this item, I’d make sure you purchase through Amazon and not direct from Seauto so you have at least 30 days of worry free coverage. Off to try the Aiper Scuba. Happy roboting.

RUN THE OTHER WAY..... total waste of $
Had the DISTINCT DISPLEASURE of owning 2 of these units. Both failed, 1st in 16 days - fried electronics BUT 2nd unit, front drive wheel broke day 1 and electronics fried on day 2! They DO NOT honor their warranty. Full 12 months return to base but then they want you to pay freight. BUT they also want you to re-order using the excuse they need it to generate a tracking number! SCAM!!! EVERY other Co with that policy uses the original order No. Product looked so promising but is a total piece of crap.!
