Great tool! Horrible delivery!
I bought this for my daughter-in-law’s birthday, and she absolutely loves it! She’s been using it daily to work on her container garden. The only downside is that Amazon got it to her town of Lincoln, NE, then handed it over to USPS to take it the last mile. The postal service promptly shipped it to… Denver. No idea why. The Denver post office shipped it to Omaha, who sent it to Lincoln. This apparently got the Lincoln office’s dander up, because they sent it back to Denver, who sent it to Omaha, who sent it to Lincoln. After I made several calls, the Lincoln postmaster promised it would be delivered immediately. Which it was… to Sacramento. I’m not making this up. It spent 13 days in Sacramento, so I canceled the order and bought another one. That knife was delivered in four days. The day after that, the lost package arrived at my daughter-in-law’s house, fully two months after her birthday.Good knife, though.

Rough fitment, but overall nice
The hori hori is by far my most used tool in my garden. I recently lost my Corona hori hori and had the option to try the berry & bird. I've owned a few other tools from this brand so I was quite hopeful.Overall this is a well built hori hori. The blade isn't particularly sharp as most will arrive. Personally I like to sharpen mine just a bit to make them more useful in the garden, but don't expect a razor edge to keep when you also use this as a shovel.Having an included sheath is a huge bonus, many do not and so you need to provide your own. The sheath is very durable and I'm not worried about damaging it thriving it around the garden. My only complaint is that the wood handle is a bit rough at the ends, particularly around the hammer pommel end of the tool. The metal parts are quite well bonded around a full tang but there was a rough wooden lip that was easy to feel and peeled some small wood splinters up when I first used it. After some rough handling in gloves it's rounded out but it didn't feel comfortable to use bare handed the first day or two.
