Not the smoothest out there but it does a job :)I use this almost solely for fly line backing. Start with 40lb blind spliced into a short length 70lb into short length of 130lb. The 40lb is virtually all of the backing, the average reel will carry loads of this thin stuff. The heavier stuff is not for strength - it's there to achiveve a final 'thick' spliced loop that will not cut through welded (or similar) loops. Thin braid on its own can cut through loops, even braided mono loops.

Used this for a large stunt kite, much better than I thought it would be. Had been trying to get Dyneema line but it seem to be on short supply. This works just as well.

Splicing lines to hollow braid involves whippings or nail knots.A hollow line that sits flat and absorbs glue is necessary for this.Don't pull it too tight it will break.Ideal size for this job, most are far too heavy.

It splices well - I use it for flyline backing.
