You must use a USB-A to USB-C cable to use this plug
The media could not be loaded. In order for this device to work, you must use a USB-C to USB-A cable. If you connect a USB-C cable to USB-C cable and a power supply. You will get 0 volts out of this plug.Overall great construction the JST plug is 2mm spacing, once plugged in the USB fits tight into socket so it will not become looseOverall a good product

As advertised
Used these to make an LED base for displaying an engraved acrylic. 3D printed the base with a space for the connector and soldered the connector to a 5 volt LED strip - it worked great.

Not worth it - poor quality
There is a significant power loss going through this adapter. Doesn't work for a project I had using LED lights in an enclosure - lights were dim / almost not on. Ran power direct through the same cables (without the adapter) and they are super bright. Checked soldering etc. not the issue.

Good In A Pinch
Date: 2023/11/15Item: DWEII 10PCS Type-C Female Chassis Waterproof 2P Solder Wire Type USB CVINE DISCLAIMER:--------------------------------In the spirit of full disclosure, I received this product free as part of the Amazon Vine program. My methodology for Vine Program products is to give a more thorough -- often product-destructive -- review. If I like the product, I buy my own version of it, otherwise, it gets donated post-testing. I also may include my opinion on the product's value proposition to the market.REVIEW:--------------------------------Not the best appearance, but they will work in a pinch. These only have the + and - attached to the USB-C, and a basic plastic housing. In testing, it was able to easily handle 1A of power without heating at all. All of mine tested good. At ~$0.95/ea, it might not be the most economical method for these, you could do it cheaper if you're willing to put in the time to solder, but for a set of just "grab and use in my project" components, they're not bad.END NOTE:--------------------------------And with all the reviews I do, if there's ever a problem with this product, I will edit (if able) to update this review. These will be denoted in an "UPDATES" section.

As Advertised
Not much to write on these. Each one looks good, accepts a USB-C plug and the red/black wires are properly connected because there is 5-volts between them when they're connected to a powered USB plug. The USB-C plug I used for testing made a very solid connection to these jacks.

Warning: not PD compatible
Clean, easy install, but don't make assumptions like I did. Because there are no internal resistors and the CC pins are not exposed, there is no way to make this receive power from a proper USB C power source (where power will be delivered only when the "client" device pulls each CC pin to ground through a 5.1 kΩ resistor). So now I'm having to power the device I put this port in using a USB A to C cable (since USB A is "dumb" and supplies 5V regardless of client). Glad they were cheap since I can't exactly remove and return the one I used, but I'm hoping this will save someone the same hassle.

Missing CC2 Pin
Has only CC1 pin, no CC2 pin, this is NOT an authentic USB-C port.
