This is a gem stone tester only not a metal tester eg gold, silver, platinum as stated on the description.

False advertising
It is says gold and silver tester but it isn’t! Only does diamonds!Waste of time and money

Can't fault it (apart from it's for diamonds only)
The description shows it measuring metals but it literally just buzzes if it touches metal.The diamond detection does work very well though.We tested it on a few of the wife's diamond rings and on some of the cubic bracelets and earrings and the results worked as expected when set up correctly using the not so great instructions.
