Excellent natural looking beard dye
I wear a goatee and it had a lot of grey in it, but my natural hair colour is very dark brown. I was tempted by Just for Men but put off by the horror stories about blistering skin and so forth, so I decided to give this stuff a go. I followed the advice given in another review and mixed one teaspoon of the henna and three teaspoons of the dark brown mix, and used coffee to make it into a sludge which I left on my beard for about 2 hours. The result was quite pleasing; although the grey wasn't gone it was tinted dark brown which looked quite natural. A couple of days later I repeated the process adding a dash of apple cider vinegar (as per the included instructions) which deepened the tint a bit further. If my grey had completely gone I think the result would have looked unnatural, as it is the grey is closer in hue to the rest of my beard but the variation in tone looks very natural, unlike products like Just for Men which give a much more uniform result. Next time I think I'll use a slightly higher proportion of the dark brown in the mix as my natrual colour is very dark, and I think just topping up every 3-4 weeks will be sufficient. My original sludge used 4 teaspoons of the powders and I ony used half of it on the two applications (if that) so I expect the contents of the packet to last for months, if not years. Great value and a great result.

Beautifully soft and rich, the perfect henna.
Love this henna! This is my third time using this brand and it's easily the best henna product I've used in the year that I've changed from using normal dyes. I have a scattering of greys at the front and it covers them perfectly, giving them a red twinkle. It also doesn't dry out my hair and it's such a lovely rich colour!

Did not work on my afro hair following the henna application
I have afro hair and have been using henna and indigo to turn my grey hairs black for a number of years now. Based on recommendations I used these new products following the Henna application which worked really well. I waited the following day to apply the Indigo to change the brown/ginger hairs to black. I left the dye on for over 6 hours overnight unfortunately there was not change in colour. Waited a week tried the Indigo again this time for 4 hours, due to scalp irritation even though the recommended time is 3 hours. This did not work. Really disappointed with this product not sure if it is the same manufactures despite the name. Will not be buying this product again. Maybe the Henna colouring is too strong for the indigo to take effect. Will be sticking to my usual products. Wasted time and money.

You get the colour but it will bleed endlessly until it's gone!!! Not buying again
So This henna is great. On the first two pictures you can see the immediate result and the third one is what my hair was before, I already had ginger tint to it from normal copper henna. I wanted more cool tone red so I bought this and indigo to cover the gingerness. It did a great job, keep in mind I added 2 tablespoons of indigo mix into it to make it darker and cooler so that may help I guess. I can still see some warm tones in the lengths but it's not so bad. I'd give it 4,5 stars but it didn't let me so the reason I am giving four is that it bleeds like hell! I had to rinse it so many times, it took me like 40 minutes to do it. It is probably the clay in it. Applying vinegar wash after rinse help. I hope it won't bleed much when I wash my hair. Please make sure you wash with cold water!UPDATE : ok so after about a two and a half months of having this henna on my hair I must remove one star as it still bleeds every single time I wash my hair! It is due to the red clay in the mixture which gets you that wine red colour but unfortunately it bleeds until is not there anymore. Not buying again

Amazing results!
This product is great and so is the service. I was looking for the herbal alternative to chemical hair dyes/colors as they were ruining my hair. It is then I came to know about indigo powder. Though I am using indigo powder of different brand since six months, I used this brand for the first time and it gave amazing results. I usually use the indigo powder with henna paste. I used to add some lemon juice/apple cider vinegar to henna and soak it overnight or for four hours. In the morning I used to prepare the indigo powder paste as per guidelines and mix it up with henna paste and apply it and left it for 3 hours. But, this made my scalp very itchy and hot as lemon/ACV are very acidic. Since henna needs an acidic agent to release color, I switched to Amla ( Indian gooseberry) powder and the problem of itchy scalp solved. Since I have many grays, henna often turned my hair color into copper-orange which I never liked. I wanted to have dark colored hair and indigo powder fulfilled my wish. But, do not apply it without henna(if you have gray hair) because it will turn your hair green. It covers the hairline perfectly and does not stain the skin. One can view the result in the photograph. My hair texture has improved, they are soft and have volume and hair fall has reduced. I am extremely happy with this product and would recommend it to all who are seeking herbal/natural solution for their hair problems.

works well for me
i have grey hair. i mix this with henna to get an auburn color. the secret, is to mix with 2 T of vinegar and hot water, then wrap mixture in a towel and let sit on counter for 4 hours. i put on dry hair and leave it for an hour, then rinse with conditioner. i get the most gorgeous auburn color on longish hair that people rave about. after a month or so, it lightens up to a lighter color from washing. pretty happy with it.

For use alongside henna
This indigo powder is high quality, and comes in a resealable package for convenience. It is a plant based dye, and is beneficial and nourishing for your hair and scalp. I use indigo powder to darken my hair, but please note that indigo powder needs to be used in conjunction with henna for best results.

brilliant color
This henna dyes very well (unlike some that I've come across that doesn't even take). The color is accurate to the packaging. One oddity, though, is that it continually rinses out of your hair every time you wash it (to the point where it colors bath water every time). I've used other natural hennas that seem to be more permanent and while they do fade a bit, they basically just grow out of your hair like a dye would. I have yet to see how this one works long term -- it's been about 2 months and it still looks great.

Beautiful: Deep Red
I am a performer, I am 44 years old, and have salt and pepper hair. A few years back, I noticed that most hair dies, even though they state that they cover gray hair, would not cover gray hair completely.I started to do a lot of research on the health benefits of switching to Henna. Most, Henna products have salt in them, which, if you have processed your hair prior, can cause your hair to break off. The Henna guys does not have the salt in their henna! I have a very dear friend that turned me onto this particular company. They have a lot of integrity, and the colors are so beautiful.I had been bleaching my own hair and dying at different colors. Mainly Pravana, and also semi permanent vegan dyes. I am a Tour Guide in New Orleans, and it gets quite hot here and tend to sweat a lot during the summer time, especially. One day I noticed, as I took witch hazel and wipe my chest, the cotton pad was black. I started to do research on the effects of chemical dyes, and how it is absorbed into your body, what I found is there are some cancer causing affects. Your skin is one of the biggest organs, I wanted to improve my mental health as well, as I am perimenopausal and figure that the absorption of these chemicals is probably affecting things that I don’t realize.Henna dye, darkens overtime, so I was quite worried to commit to this. I have long straight hair that almost touches my lower back for the first application, I used hibiscus tea that I brewed, put the deep red powder in a glass bowl. You do not want to use any kind of metal bowl slowly mixed the hibiscus tea in and stirred the Henna, so that there were no clumps and a cookie dough kind of texture. I also used Bravani powder. Adding in a quarter of the packet, this is something that you can add to the Henna that helps with strengthening the hair, etc. You can go on the henna guys.com and see the options that they have. I also used a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, then I let the Henna sit for eight hours, and set an alarm on my phone. I used three packets which was way too much, but wanted to make sure I had enough. After eight hours I mixed it again. Then I took a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and mixed it in, as the reviews stated it would help with gray coverage. I also made sure that I had a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. I used a regular hair, dyeing, brush, gloves, and had a plastic cap nearby, the easiest way to do this with long hair, you section your hair off and four different sections and clipped the ones back that you were not using. You can use your hands, but I found it much easier to use a dye brush.I don’t know what people are so fussy about, I was reading reviews, and they said that it was super messy, however, I didn’t have any issues. Keep in mind I’ve been dying my hair for many many years. I did put a cape on over my clothes and made sure I wasn’t wearing anything that I would care about getting Henna on.If you get henna on your hands or body, it’s actually not as bad to get it off like people say. Use lemon juice and baking soda. Mix it into a paste and let it sit on your skin where you accidentally died, and after a couple minutes, just scrub it off with a washcloth, off and no problemDepending on the length of your hair, will determine how long you need to wait until you apply it. Once you apply the henna, you have to let it sit on your head for three hours and cover it. It is a clay, so your hair will feel heavy. Honestly, I just twisted my hair up into four buns and put a cap on basically just did some house work after three hours, I went into the shower to rinse it off. It is extremely important that when you rinse it off it is cold water. Also, it’s a good idea to rinse off the top of the cap before you pull it off. If you have long hair, you’re definitely one gonna wanna lean your head back and keep it back, the first time I did this I didn’t do this, and the water that dripped down my face had had a die coming down, so I did actually need to scrub my face after this happened. I would highly suggest a mirror on the side of your shower you can also start with warm water at first to acclimate your body, and then rinse it out if your hair. I would definitely suggest putting a leave in conditioner that is super hydrating that sulfate free, a.k.a. maybe a coconut or jojoba hair mask. Put it in your hair and leave it on as long as you can after the first application, then go in and rinse it off with cold water.A lot of people don’t realize that if you have been processing your hair for sometime, it takes your hair a while to adjust. Literally, the henna will coat your hair, follicle and help heal your hair, but it takes time. My hair felt dry and brittle the first time, the second time was better, and the third time, I finally feel like my hair has adjusted and it’s soft and silky.Honestly, after I first did my hair, it was very soft due to the oils I put in my hair. Just know if you do decide to take a warm shower, to actually seal the henna dye into your hair, you do need to use cold water the more you wash your hair with warm water, the quicker it will rinse out.The gray coverage is amazing and the health benefits are also equally as awesome. I should’ve been doing this years ago. There are many tutorials on YouTube specifically for this brand, the Henna guys. Are used a lot of those tutorials to approach this. Now, when I am outside and sweating, I know, at least if the henna goes into my skin, it will not cause my body harm. Also, the more I use this, the healthier and stronger my hair feels. to prevent darkening at my ends, I actually applied two times all over my hair, then the third time I only applied it to my roots, this way, I can keep the rest of my hair a little bit lighterThere are several lightning techniques. If you have been dying your hair with Henna for a very long time, you can find a lot of those resources on YouTube. This may sound like a very long process, but I’m telling you, it is well well worth it.Wanted to share my experience, hope this was helpful, honestly this color is so beautiful and I get so many compliments, I would suggest it to anyone!
