Excellent cutting board for loaves of bread. A crumb catcher is below the cutting surface. Easy to empty and clean. Exactly what I was looking for!

You should know that there are TWO different types of bread boards being reviewed here, with the reviews all mixed up. The "simple" bread board has two parts only: a tray, and, a top with open slats that fits into the tray. They come apart but there is no reason to store them separately (that I can see). The references to coming apart, etc for storage, mainly refer to the second version which has something that looks like vertical wood "ribs" which you can use as a cutting guide.I have the simple version and it works fine but is a bit small--it means that part of a french baguette or big round loaf hangs off the edge and that you have to move the bread around to keep the part you want to cut on the board. It's not much trouble with long, light breads, but it requires you to pay attention when cutting a heavy round loaf (or to put the round on its edge which I find inherently unstable). Of course the small size makes it easier to store but I keep it on the counter. I haven't had it long enough to judge the claims about how it holds up over the long run. Overall I think it does what I need.

Love this product. The only thing I would change is it doesn’t stay together. I have it tied with bread ties at the end of it.

Love this Bread Cutting Board. So convenient and makes for a very neat task, collecting all the crumbs in the handsome tray underneath. Pretty in itself for serving anything.

I like how it catches the crumbs and easy storage just wish the spaces in between where you cut was smaller. There is too much room so doesn’t cut nice even slices.

I haven’t used it yet. It is well made and sturdy. Happy it folds for storage.

I really like how it can fold up. I don’t do that because unfolding it means removing the crumb basket and I don’t want to spill that. But it is really sturdy. And even cutting in the same places hasn’t worn down the wood yet. The crumb basket is easy to take out and dump and will hold a decent amount. I would have preferred a larger difference in slots to get different thicknesses of the bread. And at that same point, thinner slits so the knife can’t move around much. One big thing to note, get your self a long thick bread knife. This guide is really wide so you need a knife blade that will reach all the way across. And make sure the blade is thick so it doesn’t bend. Because how wide it is and how large the slits are, the cut can get a little wild so having a long knife that goes all the way across with room to saw it back and forth plus a thick blade so it doesn’t bend when you adjust mid cut and you will do fine with this.

Works well catching crumbs while you slice. Looks great while not in use. Easy to clean and care for. Wood/butcher block oil or conditioner recommended, to keep the wood from drying and cracking with age.
