I have a wireless mouse and keyboard that since day one give problems as to where the signal dongle is located on the back of the computer. I tried moving it to the front and had the same result. I found a USB extension cable I had from an old laptop bag to be able to plug certain things into the computer while it was still in this bag from the outside of the bag. So I hooked this up and started using it as an extender for the dongle above my keyboard and the problem went away. A few months go by and the cable while repositioning the way I had run this cable, the female end pulls off the cable. So I plug the dongle back into the front of the computer. Was going to get another extension cable until I remember you can do the same thing with a USB hub. So using Velcro Dots I have the hub stuck to the side of an upright small architecture desktop computer and I have the dongle, external hard drive and a set of headphones plugged into this. Working great so far!!!

I opened the box and was sad, as this unit felt fragile. How wrong I was! It can handle powering 4 items at once, and connect those 4 items to the computer at once with no data loss.
