Honeywell Ademco 944T-WH Recessed Contact with Terminals (White)

These sensors are a good, easy to install replacement for old wired ADT door sensors. I recently adapted my 25-year-old wired ADT security system to work with Ring via their Retrofit Alarm Kit. Two of the old wired door sensors didn't work anymore, so I replaced them with these Honeywell Ademco sensors. The new sensors are the same width as the old sensors, and a little shorter. In the picture, the new Honeywell Ademco sensor is on top, and the old wired sensor (the one with the pigtail) is on the bottom. The new sensors work with the old door magnets, so I didn't need to replace those even though they are provided. The hardest part was getting the old sensors out of the door frames. I ended up drilling a small hole in the old sensor, running a screw partway into the old sensor, and pulling it out with a pair of pliars.

We have an existing alarm system and the sensor stopped working on our back door. The system was existing when we purchased the home, so it was going to cost $100 for a service call, not including any parts. Thankfully my husband did research on our system and found this sensor. It was easy to replace and now our system is fully protected for our summer vacations. Great savings and an easy fix!

Had a window replaced and the window guy unfortunately was not the sharpest knife in the drawer. After he was paid and left I noticed that the alarm would not arm and this magnet switch got busted during the window replacement. I waited a week for him to get the part, lost patience due to the inconvenience, ordered and got from Amazon in two days.Perfect replacement, took maybe 15 minutes to wire in and seal in place with clear silicon caulk. It was not difficult at all. ADT would have charged over a hundred dollars to come and do this. Works flawlessly.

Rebuilt the whole house's alarm system, 30 year old sensors getting unreliable.These are a Honeywell product, so quality is there. Very strong magnets.I did some this way with terminals some soldered depending on how much room there was to work with.Soldered one's are shorter.

I got a new front door and the old alarm contact would not come out of the old door, so I had to find a replacement. This worked easily and perfectly. Just make sure the hole drilled into the door is deep enough, as other reviewers indicated.

Just like every other reviewer, my alarm company wanted $125 to replace the sensor. When I balked at the price, the customer service person put me on hold then came back with a 25% discount. Oh sure, $94 sounds a lot more reasonable...These sensors are extremely simple to replace - if you can change a light switch, you're good to go. In some cases, you may only need to replace one of the contacts. This product is the same used by many alarm companies, primarily as door sensors. I prefer this set with the screw terminals in case there is a need to cut/strip wires.
