I bought this partly to explain some of the aspects of a yacht race to my 6 year old son. We built it together (it would be too difficult for him on his own) and he enjoyed the project.It's a very well cut model, and fits together completely without glue. We completed it in about an hour, and build progress is good and fast.The finished product is a suprisingly good looking model, but the mast suggests that it's not sturdy enough as a play toy.I'd review this with 5 stars as a model build project, but I wouldn't recommend as a toybox play toy.

It was fun building the yacht. However, the instructions are confusing for someone doing this the first time... The wood is thin and breaks easily if pressure is put, some pieces needed to be glued as they didn't fit properly. Over all a good buy for making this for the first time.

Well worth and fun to build. Much better than other experiences. Could follow with aide of cover picture.

I bought this as a random gift for my partner for Christmas and he loved it. It took him about 1.5 hours to put together and is now planning on staining it to put it on the windowsill. So even though it's only bulsa wood (or something similar), it looks surprisingly good. It also has a stand. Definitely recommended as a fun and inexpensive gift.

If you are just giving vouchers or something that you can't really play with on christmas day, all of these wooden toys make great gifts. They are easy to assemble and quite sturdy. They are not a light balsa wood as expected. Im sure with a bit of wood stain or paint they would look quite stylish.

I bought this for my husband (40) for his birthday. He really enjoyed building it and found a good challenge. It looks quite good when finished too. Came in quite a big box- but is actually nicely flat packed.

100% satisfied, one of my grandchildren loved it.
