Uma autobiografia cativante
Trata-se de uma viagem que o autor emocionado e emocionante, também amado ator, decidiu compartilhar com seu público. Intenso. Honesto. Humano. Bem escrito. Alta qualidade. Amei.

Wise, thoughtful and intimate autobiography
I feel I should begin this review by stating that I don't consider myself a fan of the author's, so I believe my opinion about the book to be unbiased, although I admit I wanted to love the book because I waited a couple of months for its release. the beginning I confess I was taken aback by the author's off the cuff, somewhat unpolished writing. But as I got into the book, I realised it is his way of keeping things down to earth and unpretentious. It feels real. It is different and really refreshing. This is the first autobiography I've ever read, and I was moved to purchase the book after watching one of the author's interviews on YouTube. He is candid, vulnerable and humble, as well as wise beyond his years. I loved his descriptions of Scotland, and the way he weaves his personal experiences and his reflections with his travel throughout the Scottish Highlands is not only clever, but made me want to keep reading to find out what happened next. All throughout, I felt the author's courage to not only look honestly at his life, but to share it so openly, and couldn't help but sense his heart's naked desire to be seen and known. I applaud his bravery in opening up about the painful as well as the humorous and about his successes as well as his failures...which never feel in vain but rather feel like valuable lessons for himself and for his readers. Cannot wait to read what he publishes next.

Outstanding
Just because this guy played his character brilliantly it is difficult for a impressed mind to disattach his real person from Jamie Fraser. I dare say he brings Theater into the cinema in its best display. And he is quite witty and brilliant on his own account. I like his style of writing. He is precisely eloquent and on point.

Nice insights for Sam Heughan fans
Enjoyed the outline of Sam's self discovery and insights into his motivation as an actor, nicely pictured against the Scottish environment.

A pleasure journey.
With no hurry, I enjoyed this journey through Sam's words. I definitely need to see, with my own eyes, all the beautiful wild nature of the Scottish Highlands I have pictured in my mind. As Sam, along his walk, shares his memories with us, I have related myself many times to his pathway in persuading his dream. As probably any reader did. Like working in hospitality in London, I'm from Brazil and between 2001-03 I was making money to survive by holding trails at some fancy event at the Natural History Museum, Savoy or Grosvernor house hotels. Or, when back home to finally achieve my target, in a long process, I end up losing someone on the way. So, much respect for Sam, for the man he has become and for the actor that brings to live our dearest James Fraser. I highly recommend the reading.
