Q: Are the uppers made of leather, because one description says they are synthetic?

It's like a Nubuck material. It wanted to be leather but didn't quite make it. They do look good and are comfortable but I had an issue with wet socks/feet after walking through damp grass. The uppers seem to absorb dampness too.
