I read all the reviews on this item before I purchased it. To be honest I was somewhat skeptical about the claims of such an item. It does however live up to what it is supposed to do.I purchased some new Mach3 blades (£25 for 12 from a high street shop) prior to deciding to buy this, just in case it was just a gimmick. I detest shaving everyday, and have discovered, the more you shave the more you have too. The blade manufactures must surely know this. This item is so good that I have been using an old blade for my twice or thrice weekly shave for what must have been almost two months now, and not even having to break into the newer blades. It prolongs the life of the blade, using the same blade for over 25 shaves!! The instructions are clear and easy to follow.Most importantly SWMBO is very happy with the positive results of me not having a cactus face AND saving money. The new blades are now just gathering dust, and I am sure they will for a while yet. I intend to purchase more for other male members of the family, it makes sense as they save money what is now a very expensive need. The 'sharpened' blade does not perform exactly like a brand new blade, but is a vast improvement over a 'used' blade. It reminds me of the barbers that use a 'cut throat blade' and a leather strap of some sort to sharpen their blades. Maybe this has the same effect, either way it works and that is all I need.Delivery was quick; price is quickly recovered in the savings and I have not seen this for sale anywhere else.Buy one!! Brought one for the old man, he thought it was gimmick, until he started to use it and then HE recommended it to someone else. Don't hesitate, buy one, read & follow the instructions and use it.

As a dedicated wet shaver, I am always after the ultimate shave.Blades are expensive.After a few uses, the blades tend to drag.Now, this is not because the blade has blunted but is often that there is a build up a hair, soap and scum especially if you live in a hard water area as I do.The actual blades now are really fine and soon can clog up.What this simple device does is it lets you clean the blades and bring them back to pristine use.Now like you I was skeptical.SO I bought and tried the device out on 4 different razors.All had been used and tended to pull on my skin.The 4 I used wereThe latest Gillette Power GlideThe old power Glide/Wilkinson Sword Aqua Glideand a cheap Wilkinson Sword Disposable.I cleaned each on the Razor Sharp using the same sized tiny blob of Shaving Gel each time and pulled the blade back 4 times with one for luck.In all the blades produced a far smoother shave than they had before.The outstanding razor was the Wilkinson Aquablade.It felt better than new and in previous tests, the Aquablade had always given the best results.Now the reason for this could be that the Aqua Glide has only 4 blades compared to the Gillette's 5.There is a bigger space between the blades.I think this wider gap makes the cleaning more effective- hence more of the 'gunge' blunting the edges was removed.Now to round up.I will use this device before each shave.I will tend to go for the wider gap blades like Wilkinson Sword in the future.BUT this device will and does extend the life of all blades.The trouble is that new technology when new is expensive.The latest wet shave out usually has blades that will not fit any other razors other than the latest model etc.So this device will pay for itself many times over.100 percent recommended.

I'm a big fan of this simple invention and have bought several over the years. Not because they die but because I give them away to people who complain of going through 100's of razor blades a year.Its a pretty simple idea. After shaving you rub the blade backwards over the silicone whilst applying some pressure down. The idea is that the sticky silicone then effectively pulls off all that microscopic dirt and debris that build up on the blade, meaning it maintains its sharpness.The makers have some pretty amazing claims about it extending blade life. I'm not sure its that amazing but with some care and other gentle cleaning in a sink I can certainly get 10-15 shaves from one blade without any issues.Even if you get 1-2 extra shaves per blade, with the price of razor blades, the cost of this will quickly pay itself back.Overall a nice simple tool that seems to do what it says, maybe not quite to the extent claimed but even if you get 10% of the claim, its still a great thing to have and a real money saver!

I use a Merkur Double Edge razor  Merkur Progress Safety Razor  to shave my face but I use a Gillette Fusion ProGlide to shave my head. I've got plenty of blades for the safety razor but the Gillette blades work out at about £2 each and were giving me about 6 shaves (a bit more than a week's worth) before starting to tug and lose their cutting ability. I was sceptical of this device as it seemed too simplistic to be true but I chanced a tenner and I'm glad that I did. Firstly, I don't think the advertising helps foster confidence by claiming 150 shaves. I don't think that's very likely for most people. To use it, just apply some foam or gel to the bed of the sharpener and push away from yourself a few times. That's it. Very simple. I've found that I've got about 30 shaves now from each cartridge. So instead of paying about £100 a year on cartridges I now expect to spend about £20. So it's a very good investment, in my opinion.
