...my favourite in the new range that 'writes like a fountain pen', from uni-ball.Comfortable in hand & easy to use, these feel, sound and can look more like a fountain pen in practice.I hope in due course a rainbow of colours of ink might emerge and I will be totally converted and no longer buying bottles of ink!🖊 UNI-BALL AIR🖊 LIQUID INK ROLLERBALL UB-188-M🖊 MODEL NUMBER : 153544267🖊 MICRO ~ FINE~ 2 PENS : 1 x BLUE + 1 x BLACK INK ‘Made in Japan’ooOooFrom the back of the pack:‘What is super ink?✍ Fade resistant✍ Water-resistant✍ Tamper proof~ Liquid ink rollerball~ Writes like a fountain pen – without leaking~ Apply more pressure for a thicker line~ Write at any angle~ High quality Japanese manufacturing’ooOooThese smart pens arrive in a quality blister pack measuring around 19.5 cm x 8 cm and in a strong outer carton for safe transit. Each pen is around 14 cm long with the cap on/13 cm without. The bottom of one is BLUE coloured; the other BLACK, denoting the ink colour, which is also noticeable around the middle of the pens. The shirt clip also helps identify the pen being BLACK on one and BLUE on the other.Gradually widening slightly toward the middle, the smooth BLACK coloured barrel has a subdued pattern, with ‘uni-ball AIR MICRO’ & ‘JAPAN’ embossed twice in SILVER-GREY lettering. The BLACK ink pen has SILVER flashing narrowing towards the tip; the other BLUE flashing. The transparent cap pulls off and can clip onto the bottom of the pen for safekeeping, if required; the sturdy shirt clips stopping it from rolling around on a smooth surface too far.The cap has a removable sticky label with the bar code along with the following detail:✿ UBA-188-M ~ MICRO with ‘BLUE’ on one, ‘BLACK’ on the other✿ MADE IN JAPAN✿ MITSUBISHI PENCIL CO., LTDIf removed there is no irritating sticky residue that some labels can leave behind. When finished using, the cap requires clicking firmly back into place.Consistently flowing without hesitation or blotching, in my experience, the BLACK ink is, well, BLACK!The BLUE is a pleasant, mid-shade rather than navy or the turquoise I used to favour. As advertised, the more pressure you put on the tip, the slightly thicker the result, depending on the quality of the paper being used.I have not experienced any problems with bleed-thru in my favourite notebooks or the occasional smudging I get with the MEDIUM version.
