This real is awesome for the price. Performed very well and the brakes were adjustable and responsive. I will say this is the 1st time out and I do not know how it will hold up over time. That is really my fear is the longevity of the item. Time will tell but so far awesome product. Sidenote, not sure if it is in my rod or the reel but the back of the reel that connects to the rod is fatter than the rod will allow. I actually had the reel come off while retrieving in a fish. I did make an adjustment and fix the problem but as I said it might be the rod and reel.

Of course it's made in China so I'm not vouching for quality. But it looks great. I tested it on the lawn and satisfied with how it performed. I also bought a 2 yr protection. There are 3 adjustments. I wish I was more proficient. Drag, brake and star.

I was really surprised when I got it, took it right out and started using it and it casts great once set up correctly. As with most of these inexpensive reels the magnetic brake needs to be internally adjusted or just turn the knob on the outside to almost max. Used in in salt water but I keep it rinsed off so it does not corrode. After several days fishing with it and catching several 3 to 5 lb lady fish and snook, I decided to disassemble to check the drag and oiling and internally adjust the magnetic drag to my liking. Everything looked great it is a single disc drag but thats ok, I did have to pop the drag washer off as it was stuck on one side which did not make a difference in when using it but if left as is might have caused an issue if I had caught something larger. I will also cause the drag washer to wear on one side onlyso i broke it loose and put some drag grease on it also. Internally adjusted the magnetic drag so that when turned to Max the spool will only turn about 1.5 rotations when spun by hand. So far the reel works great, smooth and silent.

It didn't perform the way I thought it would but at that price I didn't expect it to do everything I wanted but at least it would do some of the things the gear sit tight and grindings it just didn't make me feel as if it could even catch fish just pulling the line out after I put line on the spool very hard and not smooth it was a bad investment I give it no stars but I'll have to learn from this and not believe everything I see this cheap is doable

Nice reel not the strongest drag but very good magnet system no backlashes yet! Great for the money

Loved the performance!!These days low price and China equals junk!!This reel will change that perception.If you're looking for value, not just cheapness, you cant lose.!!Smooth and tough great price for 12 ball bearings.Didnt expect much, but got a lot, especially for the price!!In this day of expensive baitcasters, I found a winner in the "bargain bin"!!!

Used for spider rigging, so can't attest to how well it would hold up for bass fishing. That said, feels well made, relatively light. Decent drag and feels smooth at least initially. Finish seems relatively durable so far.Update: I have purchased 3 of these reels now. After 2 to 3 months of use, all 3 of them have failed. The antireverse gear fails and will let the handle slowly backup under pressure. Can’t recommend them any more.
