I was using cuticle scissors to trim my dog's paw fur. He hated it. My daughter told me about these clippers. Lightweight & comfortable to hold. Minimal noise. Did an excellent job trimming between toenails & around paw pads. I'm very happy with the product!

I bought this because it was advertised to have a low decibel level and I did not want my dog to be scared of it. It does use batteries so it is a hassle to go buy them instead of just recharging but for the price, it is fine. My dog does so well with this to cut his paw fur. The sound does not bother him at all. I roll him on his back and he lets me cut all 4 of his paws at once. It is small so it would probably not work to cut a larger area but it works great for his paws.

This is an affordable, useful and compact pet hair trimmer that is very fairly priced. It is reasonably quiet as trimmers go, but I know there are some pets that are skittish around almost any "machine noise", so you have to take into account your pet's basic disposition for that. It seems to trim without a lot of effort. That said, while the listing does use the words "small pet", I think the trimmer head is actually too large to trim the hair between the pads on a dog's feet IF that animal is smaller in stature, say under 50 pounds. For other areas on smaller dogs, I don't think it will be a problem.

My cat always comes in the house with tree sap in his paws so I got this to keep his fur short on his paw padsI thought it was going to be loud as it’s cheaper then normal clippers but it’s really quiet the only down side is the blade dose get hot if you run for it a long time like when I was desensitizing him to the sound of it and being on and near him. I wouldn’t recommend this for bigger dogs but for small dog or cat it’s great as bigger dogs well take longer heating up the blade
